As everyone has been very acutely aware..

Microsoft didn't take into account the *REAL* meaning of "civilian" when they made freelancer.

This is a FUTURISTIC simulator, guys.. as everyone is well aware, the meaning of a word can change dramatically over time.

Using wikipedia to define things that belong in a universe so drastically different from our own is like comparing apples to oranges. Come on.

McNeo, while that was a good shot, I don't think you really did that good a definition. "Civilian" in the freelancer universe, means they are FREELANCERS. No affiliation of any kind. Doesn't mean that they're ordinary people going about their business with no economic/military ties. That's the wrong definition

well, me and an SSO| guy did about 6 round last night, and i was in a viper, and i believe it was 3 for 3 at the end, a good pilot can take one down (although i think we each spent a million or so on missles and mines)

Well, 'civilian' in this game means pretty much a lot, the Hawk is sold in Kusari (on Blood Dragons' Kyoto Base too), the Falcon is sold mainly in Rheinland and the Eagle in the Border Worlds (by the Zoners). Also, the 'civilian' ships are used by many factions including the majority of pirates. So, I think that if we say 'civilian', it means 'non house military' - everyone can use those. As for who makes them... it's dark in there.

On the other hand, here's the answer to McNeo's question not long ago (ingame) 'why is Nightfall screaming about balance so much?' - Because it's much better to see various ships being used.

Another problem with RP at the moment....
Too many people just want to fight. They PM you with a 'Where are you?', 'PVP?' With no thought or reason behind it. I know I have a lot to learn about RP but, come on now.

1)I'm not going to 'tell' you where I am. If you want to attack me, try and find me.

2)Unless I'm in a character that's supposed to attack people I'm not going to attack you.

Some think that this is all about PVP. There should be some RP behind it though right?
