More like 10 years. PC version was released in 1998.

I'll tell you what I don't like about it.
Blizzard splitting SC2 into 3 games and spacing them too far apart.

I like the original game, only on SP or with a friend of mine on MP.

Most starcrafters are crazy with a capital C.

SP is obviously needed to know about the ongoing story. But the real fun will always be within the MP. I was good at doing zealot rush once upon a time but now..

Blizzard are evil bastards, the splitting was completely unnecessary!

My favorite thing about it is that it allows me to explain what the Space Marines, Eldar and Tyranids are like to a small child.

SC1 will forever remain an awesome game, yes, it ripped off other games and sci-fi movies of the 80's and 90's (Watch "Aliens" and listen to the dropship pilots) The Dropship pilots in SC1 say some of the SAME EXACT LINES XD, but that's why I loved Starcraft, because it was basically a giant Satire on the entire Sci-Fi genre but it also managed to be a FANTASTIC game.

This latest attempt by Blizzard, will fail miserabley I think, because it seems they're trying to create a WoW style fanbase with SC, and they're trying to con people into wasting a ton of money on three parts...

Multiplayer SC1 on Battle.net was good, one of my Ex's got me into it rofl.

Hey now. Blizzard comes up with their own ideas just fine, thank you.

Dakka dakka. I mean, zug zug.

The Broodwar series was a lot better.
