' Wrote:But the intent isnt to get the trader to pay, is it? I thought a pirate making a demand was more akin to opening up an RP window for the trader to respond in.
In fact, most of my pirates no longer demand cash, and the only ones I get really insistent on are the ones encountering the silent Diamond-Niobium traders in Chogoku...
Yes but Im not doing standard piracy for long time... my "piracy" is demanding cargo (diamonds) between NB nad S 13 JG... operation must be fast because every minute can be your last one... I was many times ganked by BH BCs in middle of sentence while I was demnading cargo in NB with looong RP background about poor dresdeners etc. etc.... If I know certain trader do some RP, I spend few more sentences with him but 99% traders in NB arent RPyers, RP with someone who said you "//lol no" or "//I'll be back with my BS noob" is wasting of time.

And lets be clear once more you lazy pirates, its not -TAX- ... You are not the bloody government, you do not
own the systems, in about 99.9% of cases ...
Its armed robbery, its a mugging, its theft, its whatever you want to call it ... But it is not 'taxing'. So move on
from that out-dated idea from other servers. This is Discovery, this is the one and only premier ROLEPLAYING
server, so get with the idea ...
Hoodlum
Well, I refer to it as a "toll".

Well to be sure there are Powertraders as well as Powerpirates.
Really though your Powertraders are 'grinding', usually with some goal of hundreds of millions of credit in mind.
Silence and OORP speech are common to both and are generally disliked.
As for Power pirates, well, one gunboat is not so bad. When you have six or seven gunboats the RP value lessens somewhat.
It is a bit rich to demand cash 'to feed the poor starving masses on Crete' whilst flying millions upon millions of credits worth of ships and equipment. I mean, mix it up a bit eh?
Piracy of this kind really just turns Disco in GTA-X, with 'homies' on every corner waiting to smack up the 'biatch' traders (and whoever else happens to come along).

well that makes the game fun doesn't it? You make it sound so.....shallow.... But lets not argue who's right or wrong. People posting here arent speechless noobs. We all RP our role.
I always find these threads interesting, because the people that should read them never do, and even if they did they wouldn't care. Hence why they should read the thread in the first place.
' Wrote:I ain't even reading this garbage. Sure, good advice... as soon as the idiot traders start RPing.
I guarun-frakking-tee you there are 5 no RP traders for every 1 low RP pirate. When that changes, I'll look at threads like this with all seriousness.
So ignore them. If you present the trader with a window for Rp and they simply throw it back in your face, let them go about their silent, powertrading ways.
Sure, you may blow up that guy once, but you can't have a presence 24/7, can you? They will get through, and they will make their millions...so what?
Choosing who you RP with involves more than choosing what system you go to, it also involves choosing who you fly up to...
