Corsair with a Question

Just a question to the admins please. I have gotton mixed answers till now and would like to know if I am breaking a rule here.

Yesterday I escorted an OTC Smuggler with a shipment of Artifacts to Rochester Base in New york. He was flying a Pirate Transport and I was in my titan. First Question then, is this OK?

Secondly, about 14k out from Rochester an OUtcast intercepted us. I broke off and engaged while the trader went about his business. About 10 minutes of jousting, and the Outcast was fleeing to Rochester for the Safe zone. He did not Cruise..He tried to..but I cd'ed him. And I did not cruise once. He made it to rochester and said he was in the no fire zone. I know they exist, but there were no junkers around, and I wasnt gonna let this outcast get away..so I engaged him again. Second Question, is this OK? If there were any junkers (players) around I would have not engaged him.

The no fire zone is an RP rule, not a server rule. You can choose to obey or disobey it without any chance of retribution from the admins. Be prepared for consequences if the Junkers are around, though. RP consequences, that is, not server consequences.

Thanks Bacon..for the answer on the No Fire zone. I had a feeling it would be something like that.

On the Trader Escorting..of course he pays..but it was a shipment of Artifacts..our Corsair main source of income. That is why I wanted to make sure it reaches its destination.

I was wondering about escorting to Rochester aswell, I'll be watching this topic as my corsair has escorted OTC carrying Art to Rochester too. Heck I even took on 4 LN & a Hacker(I wasnt so sure about Hackers teaming up with Navy, but ah well) to make sure two pirate transports got away(and they did)....I died sadly enough defending them. But no one gave a hint to my presence being OORP, heck I think it was even a rather good RP event for everyone.

I would say if you were payed the rp is perfectly justified. I have flown around as a corsair in New york for no reason what-so-ever.

i can remember to a day there are two admins (laowai and reverend del) ported some corsairs from NY to gamma

in the system chat they said they wont not see any corsairs in NY again cause its not in our ZOI

so i think its not allowed to go there

1. Yes its ok , check with admin if you alowed as escort
2. Not so ok by RP, from both he can run but if he chose the junkers than he puts them in danger, so as you when you didnt stop fiering.
note: many faction use the Junkers and Freeports as shield. dont !!! or if you dont want to fight just leave swich char or what ever dont sit and make the other person very "unhappy".
