I am just dissapointed my cries for help, and arguments of my family and my three little children(whose names I could make up when I was asked) didn't appease a certain female Phantom and I got killed with a sorry, but..pew.:D
Actually it took 10 minutes for that Phantom to kill me.
Zapp, you are really slow eh?:P

:laugh:thats the cold blooded stuff i was talking about! and yeah once my shields were down i think it took one shot to destroy me :$maybe i need an armor upgrade...

Actually, this what I said was some time ago, during my semi-powertrader days in an adv. train(doing diamond niobium, without chuhoku and hok, and RPing it thus dropping illusions about silent traders in adv. trains working away like there's no tomorrow).
Now, I don't trade that much, since I don't do the niobium diamond, and in my RP route there's no pirates, save a few occasional CCS. I earn my money the Dexter Hovis way. Har har. (So far 300 mil gained on racing)

I really, really hate when traders start whining about how they got killed. They've got far too many rights anyways nowadays, and spotting a trader that actually actively RPs is a little bit like $insert_favorite_holiday_here. Please, to all traders complaining - look at your ID, please. Do you know what it does? It prevents pretty much everybody from just engaging you, even if you've done something seriously wrong. Everybody HAS to make a demand before killing you. Does anyone else have this privilege? Last time I checked, no. Besides - as far as I know, if you met someone holding a terrorist ID, you pretty much always can RP your way out. The terrorist ID is only given via admins, and there's a reason for that. Next time you encounter someone threatening to shoot the crap out of your trader, try to RP with him - and if that doesn't work, though luck. Nothing to whine about. We all get killed sometimes - dieing is a part of the game as well. If you don't want to die, don't log on (or become a uber pilot and get used to flying fighters).
Yesterday my unfortunate trader also became a victim of misfortune. Before I could ever do anything, my guts were already spread around and floating together with engine components. Bye, bye profit
The initial anger was quickly chilled by cold space in O7. After some pm-ing Ive also realized that everything is in order. Well everything was in place and I said to myself: what the hell. I mean, sure I can sit here in my chair and talk with my friends on Skype and with one greedy eye pinned on money account that jumps up +5 mil, +7 mil,+5 mil +7 mil, every few minutes. Ahhh, there is nothing as fun as watching your money counter to rise up after a couple of minutes, OR ISNT IT?
I mean who are we kidding? E.g. calling Outcasts junkies when they have some crack and have fun OR calling trading trains humble traders and cumulating vast amounts of money and not knowing what to do next with it? Isnt the money the most addictive substance Sirius?
Noo, boooo you hear the voice of spectators.
We want to see the biggest ship in the universe! We want to have the ultimate ship with the best self-regenerating armor and the extra-special-ultimate-coollooking-flashig-scary-guns!!!
We want to touch it!
We want to feel that extra inch!!!
Hmm, nice, very good. How about if we also install you one extra button that could pulverize anything within 100 km radius around your ship? For one extra billion?
Oh, yeah, the crowd cheers and starts nominating you for the president of the Sirius.
Ah yes, I almost forgot the subject: The Naughty Phantoms. I think they are the best cleaners of the universe. They keep it sanitary. However, they have one big fault - we see them on too few occasions. Just few people know them since they show up on rare occasions.
Happy trading!
PS: Engaging without a word is very much dull. Before engaging I could very much appreciate just a quick RP message like Say your last prayers before I blow you up, you greedy trader,. That could give me one last precious second to make a quick glimpse on my money that I have collected
Surrender now!!!
Running is pointless. We will hunt you into the farthest depths of Sirius.
My freelancer really wishes that he could get a nice big battleship to trade in - talk about your guaranteed cargo deliveries...
Seriously - when you're asking for RP from the attacker - don't forget that YOU as the defender have to do RP as well. I had a nice encounter with Nomads out in Delta a couple of days ago - I got close enough several times to engage but didn't because we were 'chatting' back and forth. No, I don't want to go to the ***light***... That was a good 5 to 10 minutes worth of RP, and there was a BH battleship out there that was taking part in it as well.
Same with him - finally got the to pew-pew time, and then HE had someone come along to join him, my RP was "Oh, hell", and I ran for Freeport 11 - still talking, too.

The fact that the terrorist/phantom/keeper ID's are the ones who inRP have the least amount of "need" to explain themselves before an attack, but they "require" and are "expected" to have the most RP. lol
Just to reply to this comment , I'm not saying this is the grounds that the ID's are given on , just my opinion .
The seemingly "engage anyone , at will , no consequence" type ID's ( an exaggeration , I know , bear with me :P ) are only safe in the hands of an experienced , proven RP'er , not so ? Would you like an inexperienced , unproven player zipping around ganking everything in site ? A good RP'er flying under this ID knows when to shoot and when its not appropriate , when to talk and when not to talk .
In my few encounters ( or even being on at the same time / area ) , they have always generated something extra to my experience ! When I've been in my trader , you get a chill when you're idly scanning the characters online and suddenly notice there are two Phantoms only a system away or someone yells over system comms , "PHANTOMS.....RUUUUUN FOR IIIIIIT !!!!" ( 'There is no arguing with predators , if they're hungry , they'll eat you . So shaddup , and pay attention to what I'm telling you !' quote from one of my instructors , back in the day :D ) . If you do encounter them , you know exactly where you stand and ( almost ) no amount of cheap talk will help ... its kinda refreshing :) ! In a fighter or bomber .... well .... you know you're going to work ........ hard ! ... if you bump into them ;)!
The controlled release of these ID's and the characters / factions generated , is one of the cool , unique things about Discovery . Be disappointing to see it altered .

Now, that really made my day much brighter:D
I buy things I don't want to make an impression on people I don't like.
I have to say that i enjoy all the terrorist's role play here.
Mon'Star gave me a really good fight and i barely survived.
The Phantoms do their job in frightening everyone to death as well very good.
Some day I had to scarify myself to protect a escorted trader or get the heck out of the system another day.
PS:
If you have problems getting killed you better take a break because you take this game too serious.
