If you've read up on the forums, then you should know who's likely to blow you up. If they're around, avoid them, or run the risk of going BOOM. All of the terrorists and Phantoms I've run across have been fantastic. Probably because I've known what'll happen when I get too close.

I think I've had a total of four kills with the ID so far, and i've had it for ooooh ... two months? Probably more, I can't remember exactly.

I'm not complaining, I'm just saying...

The majority of the time I do RP my way out of "situations" such as being caught by the LPI or LN carrying light arms for Malta or passengers for New Berlin. Or the every day occurence of being hassled by a pirate.
However, out of the fourty or so times on all my characters put together, of encountering Keepers or Phantoms, I've never been able to RP my way out.
The Keepers, I quite like, they really do RP Nomads and they've attacked and beaten me in my trader and my Order character while hurling *** Darkness... Order *** messages.

However, I've only ever been engaged by Phantoms while in my trader and I've not seen much of this "great RP", aside from general "Time to die, fool" and other various messages with the same meaning.
I've tried offering vast riches, my cargo, my mother in law, etc. Nothing works.

How do I RP my way out of being shot by someone whose RP consists of "I'm evil and my sole purpose is to kill and destroy."?
Aside from that, I don't mind Terrorist ID'ed pilots, I don't see enough of them on and it makes my trade runs really boring, no matter which route I take.

Well you know what Patriot, next time you have a bad moment, where you dont break any rules, I am going to make sure to put up a trial by forum post and then use only the information that makes you look bad. You have a problem with something someone does? Deal with it in private, but you have decided that while no rules were broken, you were going to try and drag the factions name through the mud. The fact that you have lied throughout this post is what makes this such a petty, petty thread. Next time you mess up I will make sure to make a public show to everyone about it. A Xeno with a stinger? Come on. Stop feeling like every time something happens you dont like, you should make a tread attacking the person.

I'm kinda of the opinion that whilst they do RP well, its only a one way RP if you are a trader at the time. If you are a lawful you can hunt them, making it 2 way, but as a trader its quite unfair and irritating that theres no way to save any cargo, or your life when caught by a cruiser.
But then it wouldn't really be terrorism otherwise!

Before you click that fatefull post topic button, reread what you've typed. Will it help? Is it a vital point? Will this cause undue misery for someone somewhere? If you still feel it's vital you post the topic, try what I've said in the quote. Paste it into a PM, send it to yourself then delete it. That might make you feel better if you're just venting emotions.

If that doesn't make you feel any better, try talking to the people involved or just mull it over with a friend on Skype/Xfire/MSN and try to get it out your system. Trial by forum is <strike>a last resort</strike> something that shouldn't happen.

This is another thing I see as a problem. Oh poor traders, they dont have any chance to fight back. Well it seems to me that another player pops up on your scanners at about 12k, and you can get a faction tag at 9.9k. That means a trader has 9.9k to turn around and go somewhere else, but they dont, it's all about getting the cargo to the destination that pays the most for it. It is the trader who walks into the hands of the Phantoms, because they dont take any precautions when trading. You dont want to get caught? Dont take the trade lanes, they are easy to take down and leave traders open to ambush. Hire an escort, and you can be sure a pirate or terrorist is going to think twice about attacking or trying to pirate you. So traders, before you start complaining about how you got taken, and you had no chance, think about all the things you could have done to avoid the situation, and ask yourself why you didnt.
