Admin Team Reinforcements

Have you considered that some people might not be comfortable speaking against someone who might become a admin, knowing that his statement might be held against him by this new admin.

Must be co-incidence that he realised that my signature exceeded forum specifications the same day I spoke against him being an Administrator. Just coincidence. (Strange how no-one else saw it exceeding anything for over two months though.)

That could be an issue. Can anyone tell me whether each of the three would agree with the current admin team's position on restricting factions' power?

In the absence of an answer to this I feel that (unfortunately) I have no choice but to vote 'no' on all three. Nothing personal, I just don't want the factions to become all-powerful again.

well - i haven t voted, cause the result is already clear anyway...

about them being faction leaders.... i would strongly expect that they are objective enough to stand above bias - otherwise they d not be admin material....

he told me my sig is too large, too and has deleted the "link to freeport 11 laws" - and i haven t spoken against him:laugh:- so its nothing personal hehe.... and i compared the allowed hight with my sig and it turned out that it was indeed half a line too tall... and anyway - most of the server does know what laws are installed at freeports anyway.

All three get a huge thumbs-up from me.

I mostly know Dieter from his work for the Mandalorians and the BAF - and the forum presence of course. Dieter is a helpful, kind and thoughtful fellow; I think this'll make him a great admin.
At first, I was worried as well that this'd put another giant workload on his shoulders, but as both he and the factions are fine with it (as stated in this thread) I don't think there should be any problems.

As far as I recall, Joe joined back when I stranded here as well and has since his very first days been an awesome addition to the community. Haven't met him ingame a lot, but I think he'll do just fine.

Marburg will be another great addition to the team, I'm pretty sure of that. Some people might find him a tad aggressive (I take that from the comments in here) but I've come to know him as a kind, supporting and creative guy - thus my full support for good ol' 'burg.

I just hope all of you three won't devote 'too much' time to the admin role and will continue to enjoy the game.

I would like to once again say into this thread that i support all 3 people here.

Marburg: I don't really know but i've heard he's a good role-player.
Dieter: I recently joined the Mandalorians so am just starting to get to know him.
Joe: Known him since i've been on the server, great guy, will do brilliantly as a server admin (He can give me a couple of admin guns and an admin shield, then i'll go into Gamma in my Outcast Sabre:P)

I'd just like to say something about 'burg here. I honestly beleive that he'll make a very good admin indeed. He is honest and forthright and I think that is exactly the quality needed in the admin team. And n00bl3t, I'm pretty sure that is infact a coincidence, we don't notice everything instantly y'know...:)

'Burg is far from a power hungry individual, and I think he'll handle the responsibility well.

In general , we can always use more sound individuals looking after our beloved Discovery .

In particular .... Joe and 'Burg , don't really know the guys but their posts are always clear and well written , and advance the cause of having fun here . On the strength of those alone they get my vote - Keep up the good work ! :D

Dieter , well .... I have no fear of him doing anything less than a sterling job . My only ( purely selfish ) reservation is that we have to share the ol' mans time with the rest of the server now ... :angry:... but I know we are all going to benefit from his experience and integrity .
