Bretonian Government to the Alliance Star Fleet

For the attention of the Alliance Star Fleet leadership,

Following several incidents of reports regarding ASF vessels engaged in illegal acts in Bretonian space, including Unlawful use of Cargo Scanners, Halting of Civilian Trade Vessels, Interference in Bretonian Military Operations and Making Demands of Bretonian Citizens, the Bretonian government has resolved the following:

A Home Office Commission is being established to investigate activites of the Alliance Star Fleet, relating to your activities within and beyond Bretonian Borders, and compile a report for the Bretonian Government detailing:

- The motives behind Alliance Star Fleet operations
- The legality of Alliance Star Fleet operating proceedures
- Reported attacks on Bretonian citizens
- The allegiances of the Alliance Star Fleet
- The intent and capability of the Alliance Star Fleet to work within standard mercenary operating guidelines

Pending the publication of such a report, ALL operations of Alliance Star Fleet capital ship class vessels are henceforth being curtailed.

NO Alliance Star Fleet ships of Gunship class or above may carry out any active operations in space under Bretonian sovreignty for the duration of this investigation. Such activities include but are not limited to:

- Attacking ANY vessels other than in self-defence (Be they pirate or not)
- Making ANY demands of civilian or other vessels (Such as demands to halt or drop cargo)

Vessels below gunship class may continue to operate, providing they do so within existing Bretonian Laws. Note: ASF vessels still have right of passage - they may enter Bretonian space, just not engage or threaten anyone.

I would also like to take this opportunity to remind you that the Bretonian Government does not condone vigilante actions - the only people with powers to make demands of civilian ships such as traders are official agents of the Bretonian Crown, namely BPA and BAF officers. Bounty Hunters are only permitted to hunt pirates within Bretonian Bounty guidelines. Bretonia has never, nor will ever, permit the operation of non-Bretonian Law Enforcement Agencies within our House space.
