CONTACT REPORT

During ship relocation operations in Texas, I encountered two Junker IFF'd ships. One of them was tagged Errant Shadow, the other was tagged as being a part of the Junker Congress. Both of these ships were carrying slaves. Due to the distances involved, I was unable to get more than a brief peek into their holds and I did not get additional, confirming shots of their cargo.

All Agents, be on the lookout for Errant Shadow. He has been seen operating in Texas, Bering, Hamburg, and Frankfort, utilizing the Frankfort Jump Hole from Hamburg. He refused an order to stop and heave to.

Later on patrol I had an encounter with Deviant.Vortex, in the California system.

You get these pukes like this that hide under the tag of being a pirate in Liberty, where there's no bounty on them. It's quite annoying. On the other hand, he probably thought it was quite annoying that I wouldn't leave, either. I just sat there - a little over 3 K away from him - and watched as he was forced to let traders go through and not pirate them. Finally in disgust (and I know it was in disgust, because he told me so over open comms!) he left the area.

Mr. Graves, can you ask Liberty to modify their bounty board to reflect that of Bretonia? That way pirates can't just hide in Liberty - or at least only if they're in elected office.

*** INCOMING TRANSMISSION ***

To: Director's Office
From: Senior Agent Cletus "Banjo" Behn
Subject: Patrol resulting one bounty collected in California

I went to patrol California and immediately coming through the Jump gate from Magellan I saw one Lane Hacker bloodlike flying Sabre. I proceeded to tell him the bad news that he was wnated. He tried to get away and docked the trade lane to Cali Minor. I set after him and he dropped out of the lane and headed for the clouds.

Unfortunately for him a nearby patrol CDed him and I was able to engage. After couple of salvos he realized that he's a goner and tried to cruise away. I fired a lucky Razor and to my amazement saw him explode! I must have hit a critical part since normally ships don't go and explode to one Razor. I collected the LPI pilots he was holding in his hold and notified Battleship Yukon that I need immediate medical assistance upon landing.

Banjo, Pages and me went to Rheinland for a change. there Banjo found a Hessian by the name of Elsa Ingeborg in Dresden. Banjo was dueling with her but got fried by a missle in the end. Then Pages and me went in. We were all over her like a cheap suit. In the end she was unfortunate enough to meet one of my exploding metal mates called Mine.

After that me and Pages were both shot down by reinforcments but that bit is not important...

Got me a new Serpent and escorted the Gemini from Cambridge to the Ring and back. Nothing happened during that trip.

Director's Briefing

Interesting reading. You are all as eloquent as you are vicious.

Now, to business: the Corsairs appear to have taken the whole getting-hunted-and-killed-thing personally. And have gone so far as to hand out contracts to every two-bit scumbag with a sub-orbital taxi and a pea-shooter. In fact, Agents Stix and Remnant ran into one of these mental cases in Omega 5 yesterday. The ship was one of those IMG ships that are normally used for mining but now appears to be heavily modified and fully armoured and armed. The recordings of the combat are quite amusing.

[plays recording]

Observe if you will the depleted shields of the gunship and the appalling damage caused by the minefield he had chosen to ambush our colleagues in. Yes, I laughed too when I saw the Stix's turrets make mincemeat of the starboard hull.

Be advised. This crew of this ship, call-sign -Rivalry- , may be back looking to collect on our heads. Treat all mercenaries with the utmost caution. Kill them if they make any threatening gestures. Obviously exercise caution. Many mercenaries work in Bretonia for the BAF and BPA, so I'm sure the untrustworthy ones will be in the Omegas primarily.

Recruits McCloud and Page are bumped to full agent status, having completed probation. Report to Sheffield for your new assignments. We'll set up the simulator for practice in those bigger ships.

Agents Hunt and Remnant are on special assignment in the Edgeworlds. Remnant was admitted to the Core at a ceremony on Freeport 11 only hours ago.

All recruits are to give priority to escort duty. Synth Foods, RepEx, IND and APM ships are our only valid contractors. If they contact you requesting a escort, attend to their needs immediately - unless you are engaged in a combat.

Senior Agent Behn's lectures on Combat Skills went down well. Tonight we'll be working on basic first aid and interrogation techniques. Bring your electronux, as he has a neat trick to show you. Apparently you can power electrodes from it. We'll use a live subject to demonstrate the potential of this new technique.

One last thing. Agent Hunt ran into one of these terrorists from the organisation known as the Order in Cambridge orbit. These maniacs will attack you without warning; their ships are equipped with cloaking devices and have incredible regenerative abilities. Shoot on sight. Of course, you can cuss them out all you want, but don't reveal anything confidential like some half-baked movie villain, please.

The handbook will be updated to reflect these changes.

Now go. Search and destroy.

I received a incoming message from Crash to assist him and banjo with a bounty in Dresden, I undocked and made course.I caught up with crash in Stuttgart and i led the way to the Dresden JH.

When we entered Dresden, Banjo was engaged in a duel, and we did not interfere by his orders. banjo unfortunately lost his ship in the duel, at which point me and crash set to fight the target (Elsa.Ingeborg). The battle was quite quick, with both me and crash dropping nuclear mines and firing CD at them it was only a matter of time before they fell prey to our onslaught. one of crashes mines took out the entire hull of the target, see attached file.

An LBW appeared to take revenge, and me and crash defended ourselves from this threat, we had the upper hand until Smify appeared, which lead me to lose my ship, and crash followed shortly after.

After we got replacement ships we scouted O5, no contacts excluding a few traders and civilians.

We returned to Cambridge to let crash depart and me and banjo had some training.

Currently docked in Cambridge awaiting orders.

As a note to all, i am changing my call sign to Pages, since everyone is starting to call me that anyway.

Regards

Sebastian.

*** INCOMING TRANSMISSION ***

To: Director's Office
From: Senior Agent Cletus "Banjo" Behn
Subject: Patrol report

I took my bomber for a patrol set course to California. On my way I met in Magellan a civilian in Slipstream that had obviously "rescued" some of our hunter brothers. I offered to buy them off of him fo 10k a head and he agree. I then took hunters to Freeport 1. Those guys owe me big time.

[Image: freelancer2009012615454tn1.th.jpg] [Image: freelancer2009012615474lh2.th.jpg]

At Freeport 1 Felix LaRouche's personal bomber, S/D.Swordfish, rendezvoused me and we continued to California. In California we encounter one Outcast flying Sabre at the Magellan gate. What else such a situation can lead to but to a battle? We announced that he was a wanted man by the authorities. The Sabre was slippery as Curacaon sea-eel and but slowly we made so progress.

[Image: freelancer2009012615530xb7.th.jpg] [Image: freelancer2009012615530tw5.th.jpg] [Image: freelancer2009012615532ap3.th.jpg]

Not long into the fight Outcast received help from another Sabre. As well as we got reinforcements in form of S/D-Fireball. We'll Swordfish bought it before we managed to down one of them. Then the remaining fighter tried to escape, but we caught up with him at the gate. I chucked mines in front of him and Fireball CDed them. I've been working on this kind of a tactic that might come handy, but it requires good timing and teamwork.

[Image: freelancer2009012616022vn1.th.jpg] [Image: freelancer2009012616093hu3.th.jpg] [Image: freelancer2009012616174if5.th.jpg]

It was not until later that I realised that LPI bounties for fighters are only collectible in fighters. A shame. But I'm sure no one misses those 2 Sabre's in California. Well, I think rescuing those 12 Navy and 2 LPI pilots must be worth something. If you find someone willing to pay up for our efforts then please do cash them in.

Incoming Transmission

TO: Operations
From: Maxmillian DeVirgo, Director of Intelligence

In communications with various S/D ships, I can report that S/D-Spitfire is now at Southampton Shipyard and awaiting orders. S/D-Surma has successfully relocated to Cambridge and is awaiting orders. S/D-Mustang is currently at Planet Houston in the Texas system, doing interdiction patrols and will report to Newark as soon as possible. S/D-Zero and S/D-Messerschmitt are being laid out in the Liberty Shipyards at this time, and should be fully operational by the end of the week.

A special operative from the Wild Geese has a ship with special confinement and storage facilities available for use with Nomad equipment and samples. He has relocated to Rostock at this time.

AP Manufacturing reports that the construction of our requested facilities is proceeding on schedule. According to Jeff Phelps, the CEO of APM, his crews are working at breakneck speed on the project due to the needs for rapid completion. While I do not have a firm completion date available at this time, all things should be ready and funcional in the very near future. I can also report that one of the slips is actually already complete, and while the actual production facility is still under construction, the facility itself is already operational to the point that S/D-Cerberus is effectively done.

The accounting department does report that the higher than normal activities by APM, in addition to their regular support of our activities, has resulted in a net operating loss for this fiscal quarter, but this was expected due to the capital expansion and outlay.

I will continue with further reporting as new information becomes available.

Message Reads:

Well today was a good day. I ran the gambit and it payed off as you can see from my location. Using the back door, ie came into this teritory using the Sigma-17 jump hole via Munich. From Sigma 17 I hit the Omicron Theta jump hole and safely docked at Freeport 9. I established contact with a few know agents out in Omicron Kapp and Delta for an activity report. Seeing the area was mostly clear of aggressors, I headed for the Gamma jump hole.

Once in Gamma I went radio blackout and made the run for the Kappa jump hole. I avoided a few Corasir patrols and a squadron of Nomad light fighters. Since I was in Corsair home territory figured I would get a few of those aliens in a safer location. Kappa was empty and I made my way to planet Gammu. Having been here before I talked witht he locals and put a call into Freeport 11. Seems some of our Independant brethern were in system, so I decided to continue on to the station.

I picked up some information from the locals on the location of the Omicron Minor jump hole and swung in for a closer look. The Order has it guarded by 4 weapons platforms that should pose little problem to slip passed. I decided to hire a local Freelancer to do a scouting run for me since he was neutral to the order and report back about some of the things I would find once I entered Minor, having never been there. This Alaric fellow entered Minor and relayed approximate loacations of where the jump hole enters Minor and local patrols. He reported they are fly Nephthys very heavy fighters in packs of 4. I should be able to ambush one of those and collect our samples. I will perform the mapping run first, so as to try not to alert them to my presence.

I will post maps and information on the Order and Nomads in later transmissions. Freeport 11 will be my base of operations for the duration of this mission. Next communications after mapping run and collection of Order specimens complete.

PS: Congrats on the new home base. Can not wait to see the new facilities. Keep the coffee hot and the beer cold, I hope to be back by the end of next week.

Brent Mako out.

A Few Words From The Director

Fine work out there, agents. Behn, nice updates on that tactic you and LaRouche have been practising.

I have a few things to cover, most of it is, strangely enough, good news, so I'll get to the point.

Our new headquarters has been established in the remote Omega Systems. Omega 56 has a shipyard and base under construction. APM has begun work on re-assembling the Doghouse which will serve as a forward base for our other, less public, operations. Details on patrol duties will be posted shortly.

Agent Alpha has been busy down in Omega 3, working with a fellow hunter from Rheinland by the name of Karl Mannheim. From what I've read of Alpha's report, it seems he encountered a well-known Corsair crew working the lanes in the Wilkes Ice Field.

It's pretty clear that Alpha kept this idiot talking long enough for Mannheim to arrive. Even reinforcements in the shape of two Praetorians, one of whom is a notorious Omega Pirate Guild henchman, weren't enough to prevent the entire Corsair force being eliminated.

With aim like that, Mannheim will go far.

In fact, I think, yes, Mannheim is here. Take a bow. The Agency had this framed for you.

Very picturesque.

Our own squad of Aces was despatched to the Borderworlds last night to work on the contract issued by the Sirius Crime Commission for the Lane Hacker known as Phate.

Ace Mark Williams encountered Phate and served the warrant in his customary style.

Phate - Contract - File 1

Phate - Contract - File 2

We anticipate a hefty fee for this one.

The handbook will be updated to reflect these changes.

Now go. Search and destroy.
