I had have an arm-dealer-char on other server years before. On aurora u needed much rep for the best weapons. So i buyed on base and sold in NY. That wasnt a RP server. Here, on Disco, a weapon dealer have codies, nothing else. If there isnt any rare weapon, no weapon dealer can exist.
Make class 10 guns, for each faction, and make them equal to codies. So nobody needs codies for fire power, but as a part of RP or only for the nice effects. Or make codies dropable in guard systems with 1:1000 relating.
I didnt own a weapon dealer here, and i "farmed" a few pair of codies myself in past. That codies are mounted on my ships. Some codies i bought, because of empty wrecks and to save time (not money).
Your ignorance astounds me, take a look here. You will find only 1/4 of the items for sale are codes.

hope to see you in game, when i need some weapons.
arent codes the most traded items here?
Not all of us are in it for the pure profit. I enjoy actually role playing a weapons dealer, one that can fully loadout a fighter or bomber from mines to shields not only a few code weapons.
It's a alternative to trading for me even if it's just as boring as trading sometimes.
I'd like to know why all the 'dealers are sat in NY.
Come to bretonia, relieve me of some of the cash that is weighing down my trousers! I've so much money in my pockets i have to employ two pretty girls to holds them ups! The poor girls are so tired that... nevermind.
Need: codies, shields mines cd's cm's in BULK.
Whenever i see a dealer on, they've usu logged before ive gotten to NY.

If a player sends a PM in game with intent to purchase i usually wait for the person to arrive.
Dont know if it has been mentionned, but a simple solution would simply be... to put the codenames randomly in guard system npc fighters, no?
then, it would be, not only more realistic, but also, your 15M would have been worth it, yeah?
Well, codes could be sold on guard bases for 3mil+ depending on what it is. Traders and Smugglers can acquire them through weapon dealers or other people. We keep the weapon dealers, get rid of wrecks that are always looted, and make weapons more widely available.
Though they'd be dulled down a bit.

pretty much, and weapon dealers would get even less atention than before. If you want to keep them a little bit unique and hard to get, best bet is guard npc.

Or freelancer npc.
Guard NPCs would only be lootable by people not hostile to it, and even in killing it, you'd lose it because of the Zerg Rush of level 19 VHFs.
Unless you did this in a cap.
Making it lootable from freelancers would require them to be more common, as you can't fly out to Sigma-19 to farm the Freelancers.
