Miguel looked over, he knew his new centurion meant well, but also knew he probably ought not be so bold as to interrupt the Elders discussion. Sephardi made a mental note to, yet again increase the security protocols in the Chambers. "Hermano Valentine, please understand, as a witness to the events, you are welcome to give your testimony to this council, but, the councils deliberations or open to only Elders of the Council. Having given your testimony Vincent, I must ask you to take your leave of the chambers." Miguel stood and walked over to the man, placing his hand on the man's shoulder. "I admire your directness Hermano, please head back to my villa, we shall discuss the matter more when I return."

As Valentine left the chambers, Miguel walked over to the bar and poured himself a drink. "Well, what of what Valentine says? It seems this particular corsair has shown himself to be hot-headed, who of us can say we have not been so? I think it is more important that he has shown he can be humble. I think this matter may require some further discussion." Miguel finished, returning to his seat.

Jose watched Miguel walk over to the bar before standing up.

He had listened with growing concern to the reports regarding the destruction of various smugglers that were acting in support of the Corsairs and their fragile economy. These events seemed to be occurring more frequently than ever, and it would not be long before the Corsair peoples started to suffer as a result of it.

Jose began to speak. "My fellow Councillors, it is with some reluctance that I feel that I must agree with both Senor Gentle and Centurion Valentine with regard to their call for action. Only today I was aware of an event that took place near to Crete that resulted in the destruction of a Smuggler."

"The Smugglers crime? He accused a particularly stupid Corsair of being stupid and suggested that he should go fly into the sun. For this, his ship was destroyed." Jose took a sip of his drink, and looked around the chamber.

"My thoughts are such that the Corsair in question would have proven himself less stupid had he flown into the sun, as his actions would have at the very least resulted in one less mouth to feed." Jose paused to take a breath, and again sip at his drink.

"All Corsairs are hot blooded, it is in our nature and is one of the things that makes us Corsairs. However, the mindless destruction of ships that are feeding our families cannot be tolerated. I will fight for my family with everything that I have, and I will do whatever is necessary to ensure my family, and the Corsairs are prevented from starving. If that means that I have to execute idiots that do not deserve to call themselves Corsairs - then so be it!" At the last he banged his hand down hard onto the surface of the table, spilling the drink that was standing there.

He looked up at the assembled Councillors, before speaking in a quiet voice. "We need to act before there is nothing left to act for and before Gamma descends into anarchy"

Things had been quiet in the Council, and Asno hoped that the two new OPG Elders who were to replace Cordova and Ivan would get things interesting again.

He looked at his watch, they were late.

All of a sudden Tiburcio Vasquez stumbled in, slamming the door wide open, wearing his suit inside out, covered in lipstick and smelling like flowers and rum.

Im sorry lads, I was in the middle of some important stuff when the messagegal arrived. And I should also apologize beforehand; she might walk funny the next couple of days. Anyway, on to business

The guy, guarding the entrance of the council room interrupted Tiburcio

Sir.. sir.. i.. Im sorry, but the counsil chamber is behind this door. I.. Im just here to g..guard the door.

Tiburcio stared at the guard for a minute and pushed him away, before entering the council room. Only to notice it was empty, apart from the lonely fella sitting at the head of a big table. Once Tiburcio got close enough to recognize this person he started yelling in joy.

ASNO!!! Me Lad! Whats up!? I received your message and came as soon as I could. Next time you better not send such attractive girls you rotten rat! HAHAHA. Saves me a hell lot of time!

Tiburcio sat down at the opposite end of the table, to justify his loud voice, and started telling warstories..

*In comes Jose El Nino, for the second time in his life. The last time he left as the future abjudicator of Yanagi, his beard grew white and his voice ever so steady. In he walks, invited to join, the ranks of truer man amongst true men. To stand up as proud Corsair, a Corsair elder.

Spotting Asno his longtime friend, who grew on him after countless battles fought on behalf of Corsair glory. Finding place beside his most trusted Corsair leader he awaited his turn to speak.*

"Mi respected Hermano, I come here today to join ranks of my personal heroes. To join ranks against a sea of trouble, so that we may by opposing them end them all."

*Bows in respect, and leaves the words to wiser elder men and carefuly awaits his turn.*

Rejoining the council Laowai looked around him and wondered how long it had been since he had sat here last.

"Greetings my friends" he said as he took his seat "I regret my business has kept me busy these last months, it has been sometime since i have sat among you."

He noticed the new additions to the room and gave them a nod, he knew the feeling of walking into this room as a new seated member all to well, it did not seem that long ago at times that he had been in that position, though so much had transpired since that time it might as well be an age.
The business of the Corsair nation nevertheless trundled on as it always did, this was the reality of governing a people who's aims encompassed personal glory, wealth and achievement. He noticed a report on his data pad concerning Corsair incursions into Kusari; he had taken a belligerent tone on this issue before, and as he surveyed it now he wondered if he should maintain such a position. Certainly he still believed in the right of all Corsairs to take that which they believed was their own, yet in recent times the intelligence reports he had received had spoken many times of the pointless squandering of resources by Corsair captains who seemed to have taken the "personal glory" part of the Corsair mindset to a level above that which benefited the Corsairs as a whole.

He tossed the pad before him, he would concern himself with this later.

"What matters are before us in this session?" he asked

Asno scratched the back of his head, and spoke.

"I have a small matter that the Council needs to vote on. One of my men, Adamo Locotes, one of our younger Scourge's Mates has bought, yes bought, a Zoner Battlestar and wants to make it an addition to our fleet."

Most of the Elders were surprised but interested. A few of them had heard of this upstart, and scowled, which didn't go unnoticed to Asno.

"Hear me out, please. It seems his grandfather's dying wish was for his grandson to one day command a battleship for the Corsair nation. Adamo wanting to respect that, applied for command of a Legate, but it seems he was denied, twice, by the administration. His pride prevented him from asking me or any of the other OPG Elders for a favour, which is why we only hear of this recently."

He took a sip of water.

"Adamo took everything he had, all his savings, his house, everything save the clothes on his back, and gambled it, twice, in a desperate attempt at a sliver of a chance of winning the money to pay for his own battleship. It seems the gods pitied him, or maybe he hornswaggled it, I don't know. He got the money he needed, went to the Zoners, and picked up a rather decrepit old Battlestar. And now he's back at Crete, asking for permission to fly it as a Corsair."

Asno got up, leaning forward slightly, supported by his hands on the table.

"I ask all of you, not to see that ship as an abomination or an insult to Corsair shipbuilding or Corsair pride, but rather as a legend. One of loyalty, the loyalty of a man who took fate into his own hands, and risked everything he had to grant the wish of his dying grandfather. Such boldness should never go punished, and for one, he has my full backing."

After Asno sat down again, and the whispering started, Tiburcio stood up and raised his voice

This isnt a small matter.. this is a pretty difficult case! We are talking about a fellow corsair who seems to have trouble following orders from the council! Despite the rejected requests, he seeks out to obtain a battleship elsewhere! He took a great risk while doing so, and it couldve cost him his life, but that doesnt change the fact that he followed his own path! Doing so is not only disrespectful, it's also bold! Boldness is what a lot of capital ship captains lack! Mind you there is a difference between boldness and stupidity! Ive heard about accepted captains flying around in hostile space, with no support what so ever! That is what I call Stupidity! Adamo however, will use his ship for the protection of crete! Which is Honourable to say the least!

Id say, lets not waste this chunk of metal, and use it for our own good! I dont want to see it ending up in the enemies hands, after we forced Adamo to sell it!

With a red face, pumped up veins and saliva dripping from his chin(out of excitement), Tiburcio sat down again, and emptied the bottle of rum that was standing in front of him

*Elder Ramirez Stood Up from his chair and began to speak*

"Well, as what Elder Tiburcio said. Its better we control it instead of selling or scraping it it and letting someone else get a hold of it. It may be a older battleship but hey. A Battleship is a battleship. He funded it himself, he armed it himself and he did this all for his grandfather. We should respect that. And why shouldn't we allow him to fly it if he did all this himself ?"

*Ramirez Takes a Breather*

"I only have one request. We put a lower priority on him at dockyards. As our more larger Heavy battleships of the Legate class require the Fuel and other supplies. I'm sure he can understand that."

*Ramirez Sits back down in his chair, sips a cup of his water and waits to hear what everyone else has to say*
