I doubt you really need a navigator, after all, it's a rather basic function that even today's technology can perform to some extent. Maybe a co-pilot for when the primary pilot needs a break, or to ensure cargo and such doesn't come loose, possibly assist in some small ways in combat, but I don't think it'd be vital for more than one man to be in the cockpit.
If we're talking about roles for the co-pilot, I guess maintaining/aiming/firing the SN would probably be appropriate...after all, that is a pretty big and unconventional gun you got, there...
