Ok, i guess they are not intirely useless. They will usually be the first to go when in a fight. Rather than your main guns.

But other than that, they are terrible, pathetic, and over all useless.

Having seen some of the insane ridiculous sort of pvp pilots operate, I can say I've been killed by a pair of backward sallies... and, even against real pilots, I find them useful...
I use them to explode nuke mines near people. Great fun.

I use my rear facing turret to hang my laundry to dry. Only other use is SNAC absorption unless it's on my red cat, then it's a forward facing shield buster :D

As you can see, they're very useful. Anyways, any little usability means they're useful, so yes, we're definitively keeping them.

It would be pretty useful if your ship happened to be bitten and trapped by a space worm. It could very well be the difference between life and death.



On a serious note, I like Virus' approach to the subject. Having lost a gun to a SN recently and surviving the hit, I wouldn't mind having any 'useless' gun between me future SN shots.

I'm working on making them autoturrets at the moment... they target anything you have selected... only problem is, you have to turn them off if you're not fighting or they'll start shooting nuetral and friendly people...
