Corsair clans do have dignity and they do fight fair, however sometimes things do go wrong like it happened last night thats all. Just to make a point, i`ll take my titan to Alpha right now just for fun to see how many and in what ships i`ll get attacked by Outcasts. I`ll do this for science purposes.
To face 3 Gunboats, several Titans, and Praetorians.
There was a Legate that kicked us out.
Your science purposes are futile.
Also long live the 522nd has killed a Corsair kill messages! We shall blot out the left side of the screen!

Well, I have been in HAF, as some of you might known, we always tried to give fair fights, until the OPG started to KOS us, and then we attacked every OPG member we saw, no matter how many of us there were.
The problem was there were always OPG members, and there were always indies or allies who helped them, so the fair fights was something hard to get. (From both sides)
The main reason I left HAF was I was getting tired of trying to RP to other players and getting only "Die haf" and bang bang.
A civil war is something great to RP, but seems some players can't stand anything that change their daily routine. Some of the people who accused us of OORP are those who:
1) Go for raids to other systems.
2) Stay in their home system until someone raid them.
3) More raids.
No chats, no storie, no nothing. May be them don't do OORP chat, but just doing "die scum", "prepare to die scum", "die traitor", "Die opressor", etc, isn't RP neither. They don't breake the rules, but they don't improve the RP neither.
I know HAFs, I'm still chating with them, and they are keeping the civil war, and that's something good to do RP. Also, some of you don't know it, but they are having fun in this war, are you all having fun?
If you are not having fun, think twice what is going wrong. I wasn't having fun (which I have explained already), and I left that.
(Don't get me wrong, my post seems to be attacking corsairs, well, not all of them are bad haha, gentle is a good guy, LT-number is good too... but there is others who are not, as Joe said, there are good and bad people everywhere.)
as a response to the above.... the example mentioned is happening because haf are attacking CRETE directly. we wouldent all jump in if we dident see you coming and attacking our homeworld, frankly its full in rp for indies to spring to defence of their homeworld, and also in rp for ships to wait for raids, as defencive fleets. (seriously, ever tried getting a legate or praefect through the asteroid feilds in a hurry?) frankly, the haf would get much more fair results if they dident just keep ramping up their ships. this is what has been happening, they get ran over by opg and cretes defenders... next day come back with 3 new gunboats and a cruiser, and STILL get smacked... Lesson here? caps are not the answer, we are more than willing to rp, but the most ive seen out of haf is "coming in to attack" or some sort when attacking their own homeworld.

I was talking about my own experience in gamma, before to HAF statement of war, and when we were mostly docked at crete, ask Gentle, ask Valentine, ask whoever you want to see that I tried to talk, not just Attack attack attack which is what I got there. Even once I undocked from Crete, and the [OPG]Torquemada (Legate) started to fire on me (Praetorian) and I said:
I: Can you stop?
T: Why?
I: Why? Why are you attacking me?
*silence*
' Wrote:Well I think it all depends where the fight takes place. If the 2 sabres and 2 Titans are fighting in Gamma, I would expect that the Sabres would get over run, if they were fighting Alpha the same should happen in reverse. To often I hear complaints from people attacking Gamma that they got ganked. You know what? You invade someone else's home system, your going to get ganked. It is to be expected, and it should be. If I were an Officer, and 2 enemy got that close to my main base, I would execute anyone who didnt go and try to help. Fairness goes out the window to a certain extent in my mine when the fight is in a factions home system.
I do hear you there Michael, and I understand where you're coming from. I would expect the defending party to bring a superiour force. Infact I encourage it. However everything has it's limits. If it looks like the attackers are getting the upper hand then send in reserve forces. if it looks like the attacking forces are getting their rear ends handed to them, then roleplay standing by in reserve so as not to waste resourses.
Everything can be roleplayed, even a fair fight. Sure, stack the odds against the agressors, but don't make it so that they are getting attacked by a completely overwhealming force. I've pulled RoS members out of ganks like that in Alpha, and it both makes sence in roleplay and in terms of keeping the game fun for all participants.
Use what you need to use, and not much more... Best way in my opinion.
Azz... I appologise for having a dig at you earlier. It was out of line.
Good points Joe, of course we should all keep things reasonable, but I am not going to count numbers during a fight to figure it out. Yes, I keep an eye on things, I push people out if it getting out of hand, but I tire of the lone bounty hunter or OC fighter who comes to Gamma, looking for nothing more than a fight, who then complains when he gets out numbered. Yes keep things in reason, but also know that if you are going into hostile territory, your going to be outnumbered and out gunned, thats the fact, thats the rp, thats life, deal with it, if ya arent ready to have your ship outnumbered, stay home where the odds are more in your favor.
I went to a donut shop once and they didn't put enough sprinkles on my donut. It was very unfair, done to insult me personally and made me angry so that I will hate them forever and never forgive them.
