Mollys and their diplomacy

Allied to Outcasts? Why? They don't like Cardamine, and hardly ever meet them... add to that, Outcasts are neutral to Bretonia lawfuls.

Allied to Hessian? Why? The closest Hessians get to Bretonia is a few ships in Omega 3, and the Mollys don't even have a presence in Cambridge.

Allied to Rogues? Why? Same as with Hessians, they are distant. I can understand that (as Del put it) they share technology... but outright allied?

Hostile to Gaians? What's the beef there? I accept that they don't like each other, but is there some sort of reason behind that? Are Gaians opposed to Dublin being free or something?

Also, which side of the Kusari/Bretonia war are Mollys on. Say, KNF and BAF are fighting, a Molly jumps in, who would he shoot? I know Gaians are with the KNF, so that might put the Mollys with the BAF, but Kusari winning could potentially win Dublin its freedom, so umm... discuss.

As to the Gaian thing, the Mollies hate the Corsairs above all else, while the Gaians can't seem to figure out if they would rather make out with the Corsairs or -really- make out with the Corsairs.

The Molly/Hessian thing always made sense to me. First of all, they both hate the Corsairs. They also have similar backgrounds so it seems they'd understand each other. They don't overlap in areas very much, but by working together they should be able to, in theory, hold a big bloc of anti-Corsair, pro-miner territory.

Well the mollies do seem like the Bretonian terrorist faction, potentialy something of a xeno-type faction, but they have caps from the outcasts like the rogues, which probably doesnt make sense, but their guard zone got pumped up quite a lot and they even have a shipyard and substantial gold reserves and at one point a planet.

seems to have gone way beyond the simple IRA-ish poor as dirt terrorist pirates, and into a hessian/blood dragon mini super pirate house.

I do wonder how the corsairs cope with the hessians, outcasts, dragons and mollies at once, they could use a friendly mini super pirate house friend too.

I think a large part of the diplomacy they have is down to their shared hatred of the corsairs with various people...

I can't imagine that a corsair backed group (such as the Gaians) would want to have anything to do with such a renowned bunch of corsair-haters as the mollys.

I would regard the common enemy thing a major reason for the alliance with the Hessians as well. Although that said, there isn't much the 'casts and hessians can do from their respective corners of sirius to help the mollys, other than providing ships (as the 'casts do) and another enemy for the 'sairs (as the Hessians do).

That said, the diplomacy for a lot of factions isn't perfect, and I'm waiting to see what it's gunna be like come 4.85.

1:Allied to OC, well molly's do not like cardamine that is true enough but we share the similar goal and similar enemies so it is logical we are friendly. Outcasts hate Corsairs more then ever so do we since that little bombarding of our planet.

2: Rogues, well Technology off course and Rogues along side with junkers supply our bases with needed comodities, so it is logical we make an alliance.

In Bretonia/Kusari war as Banza stated there we would help Bretonia, our internal disputes would be set aside while we deal with enemy coming from outside and then fight with Bretonia. Ask yourself if Bretonia loose, from who will we get Dublin. Im sure Kusarians would kill everyone on their way to achieve their goals.

Please don't mention IRA since it doesn't have anything with this game nor Molly's. Maybe it reminds you of something but it is not. And how corsairs fight from us all, well ask them, as long as we don't see them they will stay alive. And Molly's are not alike xenos, what we want to have is dublin and free rights to exploit our gold mines which that "old hag queen" won't allow us since they are valuable. We Attack military targets and tax traders since diplomatic channel is dead and through it we couldn't get what we wanted. There is two opinion on this always Bretonia and Molly so im sure someone will disagree. Thank you

I really hate the Outcast vs. Corsair divide which almost all unlawfuls seem to follow. Mollies are allied with the Outcasts because they aren't allied with the Corsairs. Gaians are allied with the Corsairs because they're not allied with the Outcasts. Why must every unlawful faction (barring a few Rheinlandish unlawfuls) be allied one or the other?

Mollies should be friendly/allied with the Rogues, since they work together closely on their technologies and aren't all that far away from each other. Neutral to most other unlawfuls, hostile to Corsairs. Gaians shouldn't be allied to the Corsairs or Hogosha or AFA, because it makes no sense whatsoever. None of those factions have anything to do with the supposed goals of the Gaians, none of them are even opposed to terraforming. The Gaians are a small group of fanatically idealistic academics with some very specific goals, why would they have connections with a larger criminal alliance?

And the Blood Dragons shouldn't be allied to the Outcasts just because they're enemies of the Corsairs, they should be neutral at best. BD being friendly with the GC is even pushing it, since the GC goals for overturning the Kusari government directly contradict the BD goals for overturning the Kusari government, plus they're cardi-slaves.

Agree with Drake about Gaians, they are fanatic straight minded folks which will kill everyone that stand in their way. But yes there are some irregularities, nothing is perfect diplomacy sometimes in the same time has sense and doesn't have sens.
