OC/Mollys is entirely feasible, as the OCs don't really care who owns Dublin. They would be quite happy for Mollys or Bretonians to be in control there, so long as it isn't Corsairs.

' Wrote:This is rather related to the fact you seem to (from an outside perspective) side heavilywith the corsairs, and have corsair backing.

The Gaians are not a group the OC persue an active war with, and have no intentions of doing so. Our only arguement with you is the Corsair ties.

Gaians don't obviously side with Corsairs. They don't have Corsairs on their base, there are no Corsairs in Edinburgh, and they (usually) don't use Corsair tech (Eagles with Gaia's Angels and Debs (Del Cids don't go well with angels...) hardly indicates obvious Corsair backing...)

OC are siding with enemy and do so openly. We have no real use for them, since they have their own base in bretonia, they can peddle their Cardi around, and we dont even use their ships except for destroyer, and since we have Foyle shipyard i think we could make destroyers on our own.

Red Hessians:
Only faction close enough to hurt Corsair front where we need it. Also we share our goals and our roots.

Review the bolded points. I'd say we're even closer astronomically than the Hessians are, because of the base you know we have.

Honestly, Molly diplomacy is fairly mind-boggling. Some of the more glaring conflicts with 4.84 Molly relations I've noticed are the Gaians offering Molly bribes on Trafalgar and the Molly - Outcast - IMG triangle; Mollys and the IMG are generally on fairly friendly terms, yet the Mollys are simultaneously allied to the Outcasts, who despise the Guild?

Mollys couldn't care less what happens in the Taus, it's 3 systems away that IMG is fighting OCs, quite the journey, especially as they are in hostile space most of the way.

The Mollys' one and only concern is really what happens in Dublin, and, there, IMG not only supplies them, but also shoots the hated BMM enemy, plus there are no OCs around to interfere...

Exactly - hence why the Molly - Outcast alliance is totally unnecessary and obviously contrived.

What about Newcastle, where all three are present?

Of course, the IMG also supplies the Lane Hackers and Rogues on FP4, and both deal heavily with the Outcasts. I think it's mainly that the IMG is full of, well, independent miners and the miners working in different areas have much different concerns. If a Molly was near Falkland, it would be a lot different than running into them in Dublin or Newcastle.

Though, with that in mind, maybe it would be best if the Mollys were considered pretty much neutral to each?

(And that doesn't even touch on the IMG-RH-Molly-Outcast Quadrangle of Confusion.)

Ayup, seems like all of Sirius is being pushed into a monolithic OC/Sair war, and the smaller unlawful factions' RP suffers for it...

Edit: @Ktayn: I never understood why Mollys based in Newcastle, when their whole purpose of being revolved around freedom for Dublin. But, yeah, IMG in different places is similar to Zoners, miners on South Shields have little to do with those on Falkland or Freeport 4

The Mollies would want bases outside of Dublin as well, Newcastle is close to Dublin and has facilities the Mollies were able to take over and use toward their task of the liberation of Dublin.

Aside from the use of del cids by a lot of gaians, also the use of the praetorian bomber.
What about the gaian osiris I saw? (well, ok... I'll not take that one into account:P)

If you want to create this distance and "no obviously siding with the 'sairs" then get all those gaians to ditch the 'sair guns...

Most gaians I have seen use eagles with cids and salamancas, and the praetorian as a bomber. How is this not siding with the corsairs?

Belfast is quite an interesting RP and PvP opportunity, too. I'm surprised there aren't more fights there.
