"...thanks for the support guys. What in blazes are you drinking? Let me try one of those. I'm in a celebratin' mood. All bank accounts, nav maps and favorite stations still in the memory banks. To top it all off, I ran into a rather interesting fellow while I was grounded. Said he was going to give all his money to charity...after a few drinks, I convinced him to let me hold on to it for him. He kept rambling on about learning to work a saxophone and drinkin' scotch whiskey all night long...strange man really. Hope he doesn't die behind the wheel..."

"Funny that, William.S.Burroughs mentioned something about a toy with a name likened
to a combo whos works included a tome dedicated to an azure gentleman with the keys
to the church ... Co-incidence perhaps ?
They have a name for the winners in the world ... Call me something or the other, gone
from my mind now. Possibly see him around still ? I believe one or two chaps of military
bearing may still be in possession of a ship or two aswell ...
Damn, I have no idea what the hell is in this concoction, seems to make you ramble a bit.
Then again who could tell the difference these days ?" ...
Jay seemed to be lost for words for a moment, a rare occurrence in anyones book.
"Ah well, where were we people, Renno ... Damn good to have you back too mate" ...

"Where are we indeed?" queried Pops. I should have stayed with the G 'n T. Are there psychotropics of some sort in this concoction?? I just saw the ghost of some ancient Mohican walk by. Not a ghost, you say? Ahh... Renno!"

"And Romer, lad. Looks like your hair's grown out a tad since last we met. Has it been that long? ..and a new color? ..appears to be died sort of a crimson tide.."

"Lots of funny ideas about religion floating about these days. Seems everyone wants everyone else to believe as they do.. It's that ol' "Curse of Isness" again.. .. my God IS tougher than your God.. my Deity IS the only true Deity.. makes my arse ache! And caused for a lot of massacres, pogroms and "crusades", back in the old days. Poor old Einstein and his 'God does not play dice with the Universe!' Shazbot, friends, the Goddess I've come to know seems to roll those bones all day long!"

"Well said Pops! Woo-hoo-hachachacha... what's in this stuff? I can't feel my face! Hey!...what's wrong with my hair? Caylith likes it. She better. It was her idea. I admit it, I have no fashion sense. So all those concerns are guided by my better half.

"Renno, how the heck are ya? Have a drink of this. It'll knock the dust off. It may scramble a few brain cell too. Scramble...ramble...bramble...

"Angular banjos, sounds good to me."

A disheveled figure in a flightsuit stumbled into the lounge and folded up.

A grubby hand started waving in the air and then it spoke,

"Yo eveybody! I'm Max Longwell, newest escort pilot."

There were several stares aimed at him but he was oblivious due to the fact that his eyes were closed...

"Anyhow I've had a really **** last couple of days, so once I've cleaned up I'll party with you all day and night, but first... I need some sleep."

***OOC***

Ok, explanation time.

1) I've had a dodgy internt connection for the last few days, sometimes it's there others it's not.

2) My PC started messing around so I formatted (theatened it enough times...) it and used the recovey disks etc that came with it.

Lo and behold the useless **** still doesn't work, so I've swiped my mums laptop and am using that.

So if I'm rather snappy/annoyed sounding I apologise.

"Well, Mr. Longwell, before you doze off.. welcome!", said Pops to a corruscating ball of wavering light that appeared to be speaking.

"As for those **** days, it appears to be going around. A good friend of mine just had a partial meltdown of his own. He's doing fine now. He chose to call his affliction "Mal menopause", whatever in Thud that is...

"Umm.. shouldn't we all be flying, or working, or trading, or something? Wouldn't it be amusing if Ms. Maria introduced us to this wondrous concoction just so she could get a jump on the markets and out-earn us all? Sophie!"

Edgar slowly cracked open the door to the bar, and upon seeing a few familiar faces began to smile.

"Yes folks, tis I., and I'll have you all know that I have actually gotten out of my room and done a bit of work. Time for a little play now. What's this I hear about a new drink on the menu? Though to be honest I can't get too plastered. I have this nagging feeling that there's something important I was supposed to be doing. I just can't remember what it was. Ah well, I'm sure it'll come to me sooner or later."

"Damn! Where the hell is my shirt!?!" Cay yelled.

Now that she had their attention, "So, what are we gonna do while the boss is gone?"

"Trader Cay, you ask one of the universal questions, and i can't find it in my soul to answer." Pops said morosely as he started at his cigar.

"The truth is I'm bored to tears with trading and making endless gobs of digital dollars. The Epsilon Wing is finally doing some business, but it takes most of one of us to escort a trade run. I've even gone into the savings and loan business as a partner, in an attempt to liven up the action and drama around Sirius; but, nothing seems to make me peckish for a cockpit or bridge at the moment..."

"And that buggering Malaclypse has thrown the penultimate wrench into it all by proclaiming the F-units "free beings"! Half the time I'm without my main pilot, as she's off galavanting about in this slipper-looking craft. "Sophie" even pilots my bloody ship from inside the thing. I suppose I should be grateful for that much.."

"How bout we load up some party barges, head for the Veranda Incognita, and boogie til the bovines come home."

Max gets up off the floor "Right, time to clean up."

He looks around at the numerous stares "What did I miss?"

A vidscreen pops into life a markus appears "Hiya gang! How about we do that idea I mentioned in the traders dump?" He chuckles "After all we can probably buy alot of help and then take over from all the houses... that should bring some excitement, right?"
