Well the perspective of the stars is fixed now and they're all at the same angle, but the pattern seems a little lumpy. I don't know.

I mostly lurk around Media Center these days.

hey..could you maybe add a little of her neck to the left of her face?..I know its gonna be terribly hard to do but I think it will lessen the floating head effect..

Ok, so today I got in the space scene mood again, and decided to have a little fun. Using Paint.Net and Corel Photo Paint I created these space scene things.

However, I'm pretty new at the space scape stuff, I've only made a few before (and they pretty much sucked).

So, I'm wondering if you, the pros, have any tips for how these should be improved.

Sorry, the pics are big so I'm going to link them. I'm too lazy to resize, and they'd probably loose detail etc.

First attempt (I think I messed up the starfield):

Second one is a um.. nebula of sorts. I touchpad-brushed the whole thing... and I couldn't find a dang cloud-ish brush. It's not that great, but I learned a bit about brushing.

Last one. I'm not sure if I'd even call it done yet, but I'm not sure what to do with it. Should I add a planet somewhere? I should have made the main star cluster off to the side for a planet, but meh, I didn't. What do you think I should have done/should do? Just give me tips in general:P

Meh, the last one had some sort of problem when saving... so I had to screen shot it, then save. So.. yeah... loss of quality.. meh.

Nice, as always. But maybe make the ship blend in some more by applying the same effect to it that the background has? Or maybe just slightly.
