Plus. They have Kansas now to try it out. Nothing will be lost... Well.. Not much XD

Sirius does need more dark matter clouds.

Theoretically, there was nothing wrong with the previous Supergate.

Edit: Ageira is now hiring pilots for deep-space scout ships! Earn billions in one day!

Just make sure there aren't massive clouds of dark matter on the way to Sol...

Plus, I wonder how supergate on the other side would be constructed if communication could not go through back to Sirius, unless after who-knows-how-long time.

Would all materials, food, crew and etc, including for unplanned obstacles and set backs be brought through?

Or would a constructed gate on Sirius side be "jumped" there? Interesting topic actually.

Supplies and components would have to be sent through disassembled. Depending on the size of the Supergate, one might feasibly be able to send a Barge through.

Ships with Jump Drives would be required to return to Sirius prior to the completion of the return Gate. For communication, FTL transmitters already exist - but there would still be some delay between Sol and Sirius.

That means that Bretonia is atleast 1400 light years away from the omicrons. Sol System is 1000 light years away for Sirius. So why keep expanding Gallia with useless systems and add a Solar System with the the remains of the destroyed planets, asteroid fields and the only survived planet Pluto?

your assumption of distances is logical, when looking at the map, but false. Gallia is outside of the general Sirius cluster. The map distance representation is only as it is because the star chart system is limited to that square. In reality, Gallia would be a lot farther.

Additionally, nobody even knows how long and how far did the colony ships actually travel. Sirius is just called sirius because that is where they were headed in the first place. In reality it can be something completely different, a lot farther away from Sol.

ps: the current colonies ran away from that sector for a reason. I don't think the general populace would want to come back.

Why not? Any battleship captain with credits can go from Rheinland to Gallia in the matter of minutes.

You have a point. Gallia could be even closer to Sol.

And what if the Coalition have stayed in Sol building bases in the asteroid fields (remains of the planets) and on Pluto?

Mabye they have even expanded to neighbour systems.
Or even some of their own sleeper ships were launched to different sectors like Babylon?
(those last two were bad thoughts, we dont need that much expansions)
