Ship usage

I've been looking for a good research/exploration ship to use for my IMG Guard character. The IMG gunboat is a bit small for what I had in mind and a Battlecruiser will only have me marked as a target.

Would it be acceptable for me to use the Zoner Research Vessel (Talarca replacement)?
I just thought it might be because IMG and Zoners shared the Battlestars last mod (and I believe share the replacements this mod).

basicly - i think zoners sell their vessels to everyone that is remotely trustworthy ( img among them ) - except the juggernaut of course... .

but the research vessel ( aka talarca ) is certainly a ship that is sold. - think of it as a small crew ship for long range journeys.

yes - its still a cruiser. not a powerful one mind. ... but its small and can do the job.

I don't mind it being small. Easier to slip past obstacles. It's not exactly going to be a PvP ship, or else I'd have bought the Albatross/Argus/Whateverit'scalled.

I'm hoping an odd number of turrets, but it probably still has 8, correct?

I wish it could be classified as something usable by a Freelancer. :/ It's a lovely ship.

I don't see an issue with it. I still use the IMG Gunboat on one of my Zoners. It's owner doesn't want to part with it until he get's guard. But hey, he's a Klingon.
