'Shut up about that plan of ours!' says Manuel and turns off the audio.

If the stars should appear one night in a thousand years, how would men believe and adore and preserve for many generations the remembrance of the city of God? - from 'Nightfall' by I. Asimov
The Outcasts consider Siniestre Nube a sacred place for several reasons. Early explorers discovered a jumphole within the depths of the cloud that leads to a strange world of ringed stars and strange craft. All ships in the burrial ground are placed facing that hole to honor the Alien Spirits. - An Outcast rumor

Max walks back in

"Ok, own up. What joker stuck these on the back of my jacket while I was sleeping on the floor?"

He waved a sheaf of warning stickers.

"Especially the one marked 'warning chemical spill' or the 'beware of road bump ahead'."

Before Max could even finish his question, Edgar began to chuckle. Then, realizing that the others had heard him and were now looking his way, "What? Who me? Right...oh, look at the time. I'd better get back to work."

"So, no takers on a mass excursion to Veranda Incognita, eh?" Pops mumbled as he staggered to his feet and made a valiant attempt towards the door.

"Well I have to go down and host some bloody fete for Mal. He's invited some guests from the CR and the SCRA. Hope I don't have to referree any bloody duels!"

Pops weaved a bit further, and spoke in the general direction of his wrist comm: "Sophie bloody Noir, if you would prepare the Warbucks for launch, I'd be obliged. And I'll give you a bonus to fly the thing over to Canaria. I don't think I could handle the task in this condition. Just pour me into my bunk, and wake me when we get there!" ......Thunk!

Renno and Patrick shook their heads and smiled, and then proceeded to pick Pops up off the floor and crab-walk him to his already-warming vessel.

Romer, looking a bit frazzled, wanders in and finds a seat at the bar...

"Hey Sophie. How have ya been? I see you just couldn't tear yourself away for that vacation. No biggie. You've got open reservations on the Orbital Spa and Cruise resort of your choice...

"Since you was up...could you brew up a pot of that coffee? What's it called? Guamy Hefalump or something like that. I need a good eye-opener. Been sitting in traffic, waiting in clogged docking queues...I tell ya... it's bedlam out there. Guess it's good for business though."

"Eh? The Veranda Incognita? That's Pop's place down on Gran Canaria. He's got some strange neighbors down there, but I think he likes it. Been down there a few times myself. He's quite the gracious host, always puts on a good spread... if ya like mint julips and root vegetables..."

Yahvo staggered back into the bar.

"Hey, peoples! Had yous guys seeing my inhibitions?" He said in a dazed sort of state. With that, he lumbered over to the nearest table, slowly pulled himself up onto it, and fell asleep.
