Well, whos supposed to answer to diplomats sent out to Reunion base? Ensigns? Rookies?
Again, Northern Council is only a SECTION of the Council, A group of its members.
Iv invited other gallic players to the council chats so that they can have their voice but a few of them dont have skype and we cant exactly have a message dump (unless we can use Xoria's threads) where things can be discussed inRP
With that said, if you play a Council member and have skype by all means send me a message so I can add you.
First of all, the decisions that C-S and C-N make only affect their members.
Noone was changing anything, nor telling anyone what to do.
And frankly judging the situation on proof based on hear-say is kind of illogical.

That's not what I said. The char can't be ignored in either case. If I'm in Council-controlled space, I need to abide by what an ID'd and tagged Council pilot tells me to do. My point was that the group - as a group - couldn't claim to set policy or engage in diplomacy on behalf of the Council. If you want to for your group, which obligates absolutely no one else, and should not be presented as such, then go ahead.

Instead of coming in without RP and OORPly exploring the new areas.
You keep putting this in terms of my objecting to RP, when that has nothing to do with it. My point has been all along that it seemed to me that certain folks were jockeying for positions of leadership in the Council, etc., by engaging in faction activity now, when that should wait until folks have a bit more of a chance to get to know Gallia.
Feel free to RP Council chars, and more power to you. It's great to have those encounters. My only concern was that groups were already attempting to represent the NPC faction more officially - diplomacy, transit rights, etc. - when that sort of thing is premature.
I think I've been pretty clear on that since the beginning, and there's no sense in belaboring this point anymore. Concerns have been registered and have been noted, and that's probably enough for people to just step back a bit, which was my intent behind my initial post.
I agree with Trevelyan on the basic point that I think he is trying to make here, and I want to state officially that any diplomacy that we conduct with Council factions such as the {CS} and {CN} is diplomacy with that player group, not with the Council as an entire npc faction. That said, if the CS and CN form a large part of the Council players, then a deal with them is certainly not a negligible acheivement, and represents a significant RP advancement in-game. We should be allowed to make deals with the Council player groups and should not belittle those agreements, just so long as they do not impact on the RP of non-{NC} / {SC} Council players

Precisely, and we had no other intentions at all times.

Post74 @Trevalyan : That second quote was not directed at you. It was directed at anyone who's cruised on through Orkney into Languedoc without even a hello.
Post75 @ LeMaitre : It should be widely known already, that actions of a player faction do not determine or dictate actions of others given the quote found here, unless of course that other person chooses to accept and follow the actions of that player faction.

Since im sure the Reunion Treaty is being referred to again, that has been post-poned. Anything else (such as diplomatic talks with other houses) will be postponed as well untill all of this dies down, which from what I can see right now, it seems going that way.
I just spend 3 or 4 houres in Gallia, and, the systems are beautiful, but ... i went trough a hell, of oorp, rulelawering and notionless engagements, folowed by more rulelawering, and incredably bad RP excuses for beeing a jerk.
