Sorry to hear that tigh, if it was anyone with a CS/CN or LPR tag we're all watching this thread and will definitely do something about it.
I have created two GRN characters and have interacted with others who have done the same. So far so good, in regards to getting along with each other and roll playing. We are using what we gained from what has been posted on the forums and what the IDs indicate about Gallic relations. On only one occasion have I not agreed with someone portraying to be GRN, due to them asking for a fee for people to dock in Navy bases.
I have seen some members with tags like [GRN]name {G}name and name|GRN, but there are many others that have just created characters and are awaiting an official faction to be created to then join and switch names.
As to Admirals and Fleet Commanders... I think that due to the fact that there is no official Faction and no real "united" force, (in my opinion which has no weight) I think that it would be wise for the highest rank to be a Captain. I have a cruiser and the captain is in charge of its crew and operations, my authority does not go past my hull when it comes to other GRN players. An Admiral is in charge of a Fleet of Vessels.
As to the Treaty... How could a treaty be made without having an official faction to make it with? Why cant they just hold off diplomatic relations with the outside until permanent factions are established?

Let me make a huge sign out of this Its Just Roleplay.......
Ok with that said i'll say this for, *counts...*, the 3rd time I believe...
The damned talks with Bretonia, and the planned talks with Kusari have been POSTPONED because of all of this. Which is stupid because its not like its changing any of the standard roleplay laid out for the council. Its not allying us to Bretonia and throwing our ships into their war. Its not making us send ships to Liberty to make assuaults on Rheinland. Its a simple roleplay between the CS and CN and NOT the Council as a whole.
Otherwise, i'll continue to RP Francis Torvul.
Seeing as I'd rather roleplay someone whos originated in Gallia instead of OORPly explore Gallia with a random outsider character who knows nothing of Gallic Royal hostilities and only looks for profitable trade route instead, even if they land on Gallic Royal bases
First I said i won't enter Gallia .. .because i saw all... then i accidentally opened Gallic faction introduction and read about Union Corse.. and then i fell in love with Idea of Mafia RP and Families:D. BUT due to fact i have to work every day for at least 9 hours, I spent 3 last days on getting Union Corse reputation , and I've spent only hour or so RPing. I can't wait to see Union missions. In meantime... I will shoot NPCs. Gallia can be fun but when people research it with right kind of ships. That means no Corsair Gunboats, Rheindland Valkyries, Wraths, Titans, GMG ships... and more i forgot.
These which i mentioned above i actually saw.
WEll I still don't understand People Rushing in gallia. There is no HOUSE Connection. Only way to get in there is throught the Omega and Tau systems. And we still can't RP it...
Personaly I didn't even explore those system. I saw what is saw.... A MINEFIELD OF DENISTY 30mines per METER SQUARE.
So good luck gallians. I will stick with Bretonia and New york.... Perhaps in future I will check it....
Former CEO of BMM I had women, gold, luxury, carpets and luxury liner....
' Wrote:There's been a huge rush, understandably enough, to create Gallic characters and set up Gallic ships. Part of this rush has been players positioning themselves to represent key Gallic factions, even though that is not supposed to happen until 4.86. Part of that is the behavior by some of portraying themselves in leadership positions, particularly the Council. Whether it's cruisers in Orkney demanding attention, or players on the forums acting as Council leadership, it seems to me that this is all too much, too fast.
There are a number of folks who would like to participate in Council activity who aren't able to at this point; they might have significant time constraints, and not even exlpored Gallia yet. But they've had their eye on it for a while, and would like to join in. Yet, they're being trampled on or stepped over in the mad rush of other players jockeying for top spots. I think that's just poor form, folks.
I mean, good grief, to my knowledge, we haven't even RP'd the discovery of Gallia yet. The version came online Sunday, and immediately we have working agreements between houses. No "What? There's another house? There are more survivors? Wait, they want to conquer us but there's an entity standing in the way of that?" Nothing. We have been oorp as a body, I think, in skipping over all that and automatically assuming a lot of prior knowledge. The entire landscape of Sirius has changed literally overnight, and it's as though we skipped over entirely the whole "first contact" phase.
*cough* NOOBS:)
did anyone tell them what they suppose to RP even? running around and yelling ROYALIST SCUM ENGAGE !!! is not a good RP we get it yea there is royalists. mind RP that a bit more? read the news on the plants and bases not many of those really
The lulwutters have found Gallia already? Damn. Guess I'm gonna have to join the coppers.
But yeah, lulwutters are everywhere. Suspect everyone as a threat to yourself and a possibility of ooRP engagement. Never sit completely idle whilst keeping a fight fair. People will always try to insta you. And as you see a lulwutter, no matter whether they're allied, enemy or dead neutral, call in backup.
Let's see... Do you have idea how many pilots we got in Council faction? No?
About 18-19 players, and for sake of your beloved whining kind, we reduced capital ship usage to mere minimum. So please, be kind a and apologize to Council faction.
