So is a name change, the reason why I sugested putting a price on it, is because traders could use it to get neutural with Unlawful NPC so that they may dock on their base (well, if they dock, technicaly speaking it's a sanctionale offence, OORP docking.) okay, maybe 5 mill per box is too much, maybe 2 mill per box?
How could they use it to get neutral to factions they are typically hostile to?
The proposed command lowers reputations. This allows you to drop a faction's rep without killing npcs or taking missions, methods clearly shown to be problematic considering the status of the server. It does not allow you to raise hostile reps to neutral, it does not allow you to become neutral to lawful capital ship patrols, it simply reduces rep cleanly.
I believe it shouldn't have a cost, as it allows reputations to be fixed without trekking across sirius OORPly. For example, it allows an Outcast who only works in liberty to repfix against all hostile factions - gallia, gmg, corsairs etc without having to go out of his zone of influence to kill npcs.
I have been totally for this idea for a long time. I helped a corsair recently fly his giant ship all around sirius chasing tags that are OOrp. He went from gaian, to FA, to hogasha, then to order....total pain in the....
I also read about Camtheman's Zonner jugg with a xeno tag problem! nice!
My lil arrow finally got full freelancer rep but now I am stuck with BHG Guard tag, so now I must fly around forever killing BH and lowering my freelancer rep while doing so. neat.
My corsair ships that do alot of missions off crete are always having to go destroy hessains and outcasts all the time, I kill one faction, another one loves me for it, I kill that faction, then the one I was originally killing likes me now. -Teeter todder- and back and forth we all go.
If this could be implemented we all would benefit ALOT!
As far as being abused? Well, any possible part of this game that can be abused has been done and will be done. Tis the human way right? We have rules that would catch these people anyways. really I don't see that much use for abuse on it anyways, especially if we allow it to only drop to neutral, and never raise up the bars.
That's a really good idea. Saves a lot of time and nerves if you're going for one tag and accidentally got the wrong one and you have to go to somewhere way out of your ZoI to fix that.
