There's a difference between in-RP power trading - especially if you actually belong to a player faction - and the indy max money runs that were just there to get the most money with the least amount of time.
I personally love the new trading routes, pictures, and cargos. And if you've only got a few minutes to be online and want to do some quick runs, there are still some short runs that are available. Making 2 million credits in 6 1/2 minutes may not be the most profitable run - but if you're only able to play for 20 minutes, picking up 6 million ain't bad for that.

Indeed, i'm having a lot of fun just picking up some goods and getting them to the place that buys it at a decent price and is not too far away. I don't earn much though, could be because I'm using a Camara:)
Hey, join the club buddy, altogether I probably have 5 mill (my chars got wiped), but I'm not complaining.
I suggest you just continue to casually trade, take your time, and if you really want to fly a fighter, try a LF, they're cheap, the equipment is even cheaper and they're fun to fly:cool:
Ive come across some minor annoyances with the new commodity system (such as the Synth Paste issue, which I have mentioned on the developers board) but overall I think Xoria and team have done a fantastic job.
KUDOS to them.
Then again I trade for fun, not pure profit per minute so maybe my opinion doesnt count among HurryandgetmoneyformyCapship traders.
I spent about 3 hours last night going through every base, every system with a calculator calculating A-B runs and A-B-C-D-close to A runs and found that for ANY given run a trader with a ship 3000 cargo makes aprox 22-27mill an hour if your good and fast. Now. I before 48.53 I had a A-B-C run that made about 4mill every oh 8 min? That is exactly 30 mill an hour.
Trading has not changed that much and I did find an interesting 22 min run that nets the same amount of cash that a short one would. Except it probably breaks 4 RP's:P
It is every citizens right to preserve their morals and their beliefs. However, it is every citizens DUTY to bring about equality.
Capitalism is based around taking advantage of the working class to increase profits. People like you and me are only a dollar sign to them. It is our duty to show these Capitalists what the true meaning of a revolution is, it is not just radicals fighting for change. It is the PEOPLE fighting for what is RIGHT, what is TRUE!
Marxism is the true and right ideal that we should all embrace. Communism is the process in which that ideal is accomplished. The people of Sirius just need pure leaders who will to the end remain incorruptible.
Are you one of those leaders?

Make sure you account for some commodities taking up more than one slot of cargo.
I had my heart broken more than once *shakes a fist at ship hull panels*.
