oh..i actually managed to hit them with it in close range..and it works even better than my flaks for ffs...(not effective..but it's still more effective than use Solaris and flaks to hit them..at 500m..that's how far my flak can aim at..and with Primiaries..hit them at that range is not really that hard..)

why dont you try it? even it reach there..the FL engine dont let us to do it..because the ship is so huge....and the turret is all place so far apart..even 1 of the turret doesnt reach there..you dont have the + thing...unless you put only 1 Solaris on 1 weapon group....but that's just stupid..1 solaris cant do anything to enemy fighter and bomber..and with that size..they dont even need to get in to Solaris's range to hit you with SNAC....as for small size battleship..yes they will be harder to hit..so? it has weaker armour than Heavy BS..

and putting flaks at the middle of huge battleship is totaly not logical..the flak probably will just blow up at the edge or even not fly out of the edge of the ship.....

point is..Flaks and Solaris is obviously NOT doing their job right now....

dont complain small battleship is harder to hit..because they have weaker hull..every battleship has its advantage and disadvantage..heavy battleship has so much hull but it's easier to hit...light battleship has weaker hull but it's harder to hit...so it's completely fair here..it just the weapon not doing the job they suppose to do

oh yea..that would be a great idea...Bomber can rape cap without breaking a sweat..fighter can rape bomber easily..without breaking a sweat....but i can still see Bomber still have ability to resist fighter's attack

I honestly think 90% of the people who are against any changes to capships are actually bomber pilots who dont want the developers to realise how grossly overpowered they are right now.

For the record, id love if the new solaris had any actuall use. frankly, i may as well mount fighter turrets on my capital ships, because the "point defence" cant hit anything unless its right freakin there next to ya. Stopped. frankly, either make the solaris have a range that isnt a total joke, or give us AA missle pods (like gb missles are, but for bigger ships) because currently, i have more luck shooting bombers with my battlerazors than i do with solaris.

And do you think the developers are clueless people who just slapped on random stats onto random guns, and left it at that?

Considering how much bullcrap flies back and forth, most of the dev/balance team has learned to take these public balance/whine topics with a pinch of salt. If something seems imbalanced, instead of taking your word for it, we'll go and find out for ourselves.

oh my god, lunaphase i was thinking the same thing! I would rather mount Transport or fighter turrets on my BS for PD than soalris :lol:

No, I think some developers had some brilliant ideas to give caps some varied and effective weapon setups, and unfortunately due to political bull, those ideas had to pass through other developers who crapped all over them and turned out a useless product.

I wont name names, but they know who they are.
