Point is, a lot of devs/balancers are capwhores. Myself included. I've spent more time on battleships than any other ship type in 4.85. I know how to use the different guns, and I'm very satisfied with the way things are, and with enough patience, get some very satisfying kills.

It's a shame that flak aren't as useful as they could be, but that certainly doesn't mean battleships are defenseless.

oh mr tester/developer! U sayd me to shut up and test flaks and stuff.. now i tested them... THOSE ARE USELESS!! Now U shut up and pay me 5mil for testng "good" flaks! I sold them after 2 missions..

against player U will never never ever will able to hit with flaks and anti missile u say? heh snack is energy based.. so Mr developer or tester (pick ur self a name.. ) Before u sayng anyone to shut Up and call my writings to complete bull****... TEST them.. cause.. either falks or solaris aint work.. weapns what works for bs are primary and heavy mortar..

i just hate " i am tester, so i know all " sry about it mule, u talk **** :yahoo:

Currently, BS's rape nothing but caps.
I dont belive in ONE "specialty" for a ship, thats what these weapons are doing.

Its called FREELANCER for a reason.

If you want a all anti-bomber battleship, You can have one, you will just fail against caps. This version FORCES you to be anti cap, its stupid.

By the way, trinity, Currently, and in 4.84 too, Bombers DO rape everything. They can SN Fighters in the face and take out caps. No I dont care how skilled you are. Bombers need a agillity nerf and that is it, Hell, give them a nerf and leave these sucky fail weapons and ill be happy, but since all the devs are just biased bomberwhores I guess this will turn into a small-ship prevail mod.

By the way, n00blet, MY SIG! HANDS OFF!

i am agree one ship cannot own all..

7mil ship can kill all
700mil ship cant kill all

ok all the cap hater's and bomber lover's if bs cant defend them aganst bomber.. either make his life hard.. then nerf the bomber aswell.. i am sick to see how bombers own fighter's and same way they can own gunbout. cruiser.. bs.. u name it

Camtheman, please stop just proving everyone else's point with your silly comments. You only refute your own claims.

What you propose then.. is making it so that when you get a battleship, you are able to kill anything that dares to attack you.
Seems like sour grapes to me. I applaud the decision of the dev team to make it so that people have to specialize, and not have kill switch ships.

And about your comment about bombers.. I too was of that kind of opinion.. a long time ago. Then I got some practice, and learned that bombers can't hit you once in fifty tries if you just exercise some caution.

For God sakes, I am an average pilot, not one of the server aces, yet almost no bomber pilot whatsoever can beat my fighter in a one on one. Simply not a chance.. except if he's tremendously good, or packs all missiles. And even then that bomber would be utterly useless against capital ships.

Can't you see that you'll get no results if you keep forcing your point by comments such as this? You're wasting everyone's time if you don't feel trying to grasp the problem properly and offer logical arguments.

And your talk of devs being biased bomberwhores is rather moot, since half of them fly caps, Mule especially.

I just don't realize why you insist on making yourself look silly.

and 10 sidewinder launchers with unlimited ammo ! Oh agility of a Slipstream would be nice as well ... Or even better ! If Battleship simply targets fighter/bomber ... lets make it enough to destroy it !

If you can't hit bombers that would be your problem mate. Fending off 3 bombers is quite easy actually.

But yea ... Lets mount primaries, secondaries, solaris, missiles, razors and god knows what, basically everything that has different projectile speed would do.
