I asked about this two or three times before release because of these kinds of statements, and I never got an answer.

There is nothing that says a Junker cannot land his pirate train (the largest ship he is allowed by his ID) on lawful bases (except lawful kusari bases).

oh my god can someone answer this question.

The Junker ID specifically allows up to 4300 cargo for its ID (i.e. the biggest ship they are allowed to use is the pirate train). Nothing on the Junker ID or Pirate Train infocard makes any comments about not being able to land it on lawful bases. From what I've seen, the pirate train comment is only explicitly written out for the smuggler ID.

Xoria you say references to pirate trains are explicitly spelled out in the IDs. So therefore, Junkers can use them to land on lawful bases? But then you say pirate trains can't land on lawful bases. Arhgsugdfgh

You're right Benjamin, that is a totally bollixed mess and I'm trying to clean it up. For now, the Junker ID says nothing about restrictions on docking in any type of ship, and Junkers are not obligated to follow the restrictions of other IDs that are not in the Junker ID itself.
This is the kind of bug that should be reported in the ID Feedback thread : http://discoverygc.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=33298

I think this server is turning to circus.
new players cannot read and remember all these rules and then they lost interest to play mod

and it is odd that smuggler cannot dock lawfulbase, what kind of smuggler is that who cannot dock every base he sees?and limited cargospace?
get some sense to this mod now :nono::rtfm:

All of us were once new. Those of us who stuck around clearly didn't have that issue.

Constructive criticism, if you would?

EDIT: Going into further detail.

The cargo limits were discussed as a necessary evil to draw people to the other factions, as corporations were being neglected by the bulk of the playerbase, who preferred the freedom of Freelancer/Trader/Smuggler IDs over the restricted corporate trading runs.

If you were in charge of docking clearance, would you let a ship called the PIRATE Train land on your lawful base? No, you wouldn't. Smugglers can land on lawful bases with other ships, however.
