I suppose the GMG could be paying the KNF for them... but it seems unlikely.

Very unlikely, so... how do they get there?

Well that's it, it would be us GMG| and Kishiro getting them there. The chosen commodity was an interesting one coming from LPI, being slaves. This thread is intended let the lawfuls in Kusari and Liberty know what is about to begin. I need to find out if this is gonna create major problem and I am gauging the reactions of the lawfuls whose space we have to fly through (and whom we purchase these labourers from). You see if it turns out that our tradeships have to dodge Police forces and Navy forces on top of pirates, privateers, and terrorists, than I will not order any GMG| to include them on their routes and leave it to volunteers (who'll give up after a few runs too).
The in-game RP isn't our worry, it's already in there. It's the player factions that we still have to go through, because really how many will actually know about this? Right now these are player discussions with possible changes coming as result of them, but after this Beta character discussion will begin in Diplomatic Matters sub-forum.

Well, after a light bit of RP in Sigma-13, you can probably count on a few Congress members making the trip a couple times. You get free labor, the Junkers get less Xenos.

I know it's still beta and the situation is possibly temporary, but the GMG are the Exxon of Sirius and are callous and shady as hell. It only makes sense that they would use cheap captive labor if they branched out into deadly asteroid mining. Cuts costs and gets rid of dissidents.

I've always found GMG to be the iconic representation of the "grey area" and probably only holds it's lawful status due to the political power of H-fuel, that there are lines they wouldn't cross, and contrary to common belief, are highly organized and quite capable of defending itself from invaders. But they hold some mighty grudges and the infocards are quite clear about their hostile view against those they hold a grudge against
But as to my above post, having read it from here I should add that I have done the run a couple times now and I haven't had any problems with the local law enforcements in either space. I don't want to seem accusatory before a situation happened, the goal is to either see if this practice slides in well with the least amount of in-game friction (new players and Indeps who haven't read are always expected) or now as Rudo points out, work an alternative for a faction who wouldn't have to face both sides of the law in their travels.

I should think that Junkers would use Okinawa as an excellent means of getting closer to Kusari.

They have neutral relations with everyone except the Hogosha in that system - and a common enemy in the Hogosha.

the trick is to brave the risks passing through Honshu to get there.

But hell - no risk no reward right?

And yes, the Guild has advantages and disadvantages over other 'quasi lawfuls like zoners and junkers.

The main disadvantege is territory. We cant go everywhere. Rhineland and Bretonia are sceptical of us to say the least!

On the other hand we can be much more militant. It all balances out I feel. We used to have it easy with the old New Berlin Diamond/Niobium run.

Now we have to work for our RP - things are settling down and I look forward to playing out diplomacy with all parties involved.

I can see the LPI selling of prisoners to relieve the overcrowded conditions on board the Sugarland and Huntsville, but I can't see them out and out advertising slave sales.

Well... I doubt Sugarland is selling out "slaves." They are probably prisoners that will be enslaved by those who pick them up.

Commodities can be tricky like that. Isehara is already buying the "prisoners" commodity, but that is only appropriate for Blood Dragon and Golden C prisoners as it works for short range routes only. When it comes to long range routes, it looks like it just doesn't fit the economy properly... which I guess is where "slaves" came in. Either way, the GMG still calls them "Human Resources."

The fact is, there's a lack of a uniform appropriate commodity for the GMG to used for forced labor. It would be nice to see POWs. (Prisoners of war)

There is another way to look at it as well: Transportation

Prisoners/slaves come to work, some go home, others decide to settle and start a new life.

Some resent their new 'masters', others resent those who sent them here more (others hate both!).
