Oh man, I go to deliver a few movies to the grandma & this thing explodes to 15 pages...where oh where to begin?
Speaking strictly as a player, the main problem I see is a number of opinions that rely on simple black & white viewpoints. In a time of war, no matter how thin you slice it, there is just no such thing...it's all gray baby!
In a nutshell, The AFA are NOT a group of bumpkin farmers that got it in their heads to simply drop their scythes & pick up a gun so they could cross the border to have a Bretonian stir fry. They are so much more than that, & trying to pigeonhole them into something they're not because people don't wanna look past their vanilla infocard is eye rolling to say the least.
"The thirteen saloons that had lined the one street of Seney had not left a trace. The foundations of the Mansion House hotel stuck up above the ground. The stone was chipped and split by the fire. It was all that was left of the town of Seney. Even the surface had been burned off the ground.
Nick looked at the burned-over stretch of hillside, where he had expected to find the scattered houses of the town and then walked down the railroad track to the bridge over the river. The river was there."

This is a fair analysis, but I would argue that fighters sent to Bretonia are being wasted. Not using their full force against the Synth Foods coming in from Liberty, in my opinion, is neglect of their responsibilities. Even 1/5 ships being sent to Bretonia is a huge loss in this fight, since Synth Foods are so bloody huge.

But you see, those are the kind of decisions the leader of a faction, group, whatever you have in real life or in the game, need to make. It's down to their judgment, and their followers choose that person as leader, because they trust him (or her) to make those decisions.
