BAF Required to Multifaction

You know...not all of us have hours to devote to this game. Between preparing for grad school, working and keeping a meager social life I like to just have fun RPing the slew of characters I already have.

As of now I'm already in: Order|, NovaPG, BAF, RFP and Wild. I tried to spread my factions out with the sincere intention of not having my RP muck up with other RP due to personal interest except for Wild. BTW there are now Bretionian wild...will that count....grrr guess I might get around to joining one of the ones you mentioned despite the fact I am not at all interested in them (no offence to those factions). If I don't in due time I suppose you could kick me.

I respect your decisions fully as faction leader...but this is just wrong..

Drake, I think it's a fairly legit point. BAF is in a pretty unique situation - I mean an admin closed the recruitment thread it's so damn big. And a lot of our rivals/friendly neighbourhood factions are pretty much on life support ([MR] anyone? anyone? bueller?).

As is said a bunch of times, disco is a community. BAF is a large proportion of that community, so it should probably have some sort of responsibilty towards its health as a whole.

Although I don't feel I've got room for another char, out of the 5 I have, one is BAF, two are traders who spend an awful lot of time in or very near Bretonia (OS&C has the Shetland and then Curacao right outside, Junkers have Trafalgar and all the other unlawful bases to visit, plus most of the trade routes I take tend to go through Bretonia at some point), one is the aforementioned RHA, who can go out as far as Omega 3, and my BAF has been there before, so they can just about interact. And yeah then I have my little farmer in stuttgart who's probably never even heard of bretonia. can't win them all.

wow, err, well, I'm kinda in the same boat as Ben that I currently don't have all that much time to devote to faction requirements, I'm not even on my BAF that often (how he made Commander even I don't know!), my .:j:. hasn't been used in a while, my indie corsair I never use, infact I'm getting shot of it soon. I was considering BPA, but then its a bit similar to BAF already. LR maybe, but pirating isn't my thing. As for Kusari, I don't like being on a winning side, underdogs are far more appealing.

So aside from BPA and LR which hold some interest, but neither really fit me, and lack of time for them, there isn't much.

Cheers, but I never really wanted to be an angry farmer, really. Just doesn't appeal to me. Just like Outcasts. They never had serious appeal. Tried it... didn't like it.

I'm going to edit it.

Its going to be "required" in the sense that its "required" to have your boots shiny on parade, in the military.

But nobody gets kicked out of the military for having unpolished boots either.

If someone has no more time to devote to another faction, explain, and I will likely understand.

To be honest, I would like to see a whole lot of mollies coming out of this. It sucks that as a BAF, our main pirate concern is Corsairs, and then after that it's AFA, gaians, hogosha, hackers, even outcasts. These guys should be mere blips compared to mollies, but I've only ever seen one as my BAF, and he was just flying about.

If the BAF is too large, then recruitment can be closed or made slightly more picky. It's not the responsibility of any BAF player to join other factions, it's an option.

I won't be joining a new faction, simple as that. I'm in BAF, RHA, Bowex, BMM. I also have lots of indy chars. One of them is an indy Molly. I won't join the [MR] with it.
