Oh man! A notice to all STOP USING DATASTORM! The numbers in there are fake. And if you get Razored by a cruiser it's your own damn fault. Scan your target and adjust your strategy... In life when you make a strategic mistake you get killed, FL hopefuly gives you several shots to figure out you are making a mistake... however if your shield is down and then 2 razors hit you... BO HO HO....

Problem in this case is, if I'm not fatally misguided, the bomber was pinned down by a single br shot not two. It is either a bug of the bomber in question as some of the previous commenters stated or there is something wrong with the br's effectiveness. Yet again, I need to solo a BR armed cruiser in my bomber to have a better view.

thats 1 razor hit on hull on a GC bomber, and red cat. as you can clearly see, it doesnt instakill it. the ONLY way it -can- instakill it if the bomber's hull was previously damaged by normal guns (at least 1 bar of hull damage).

there is nothing more proof than ingame testing that i can show. it is definitely not a bug, since we repeated the test three times each.

did you have mk8 armor? mk7 sometimes will get you razored on some bombers...

It was nothing more than a fiery tale then. My only remaining concern is however the 800ms speed the BR accelerates to. As I said, I have to involve in fighting against and for it but my mind keeps telling me that scoring hits with a BR on bombers shouldn't be that hard. And should such a gun with 35k hull damage be a primary anti bomber weapon of a cruiser? It starts to feel like in O-Game now..

Unfortunately, I'm not the person involved in this case. I have been basing my evaluations off of Dab's arguments so far.

EDIT: Whoever claimed he was pinned down by a single BR shot in his bomber should post here to clarify the situation.

Datastorm is bugged in that it shows the actual damage per shot, as damage per second.

Datastorm:
Hull-Damage: 140,000.00 = 35,000 per second

So the actual damage per shot is 35,000 but Datastorm lists it incorrectly as damage per second.

Simply put, both the numbers of the BR damage and bomber hulls, and ingame testing of the various Kusari line bombers have shown that a BR does -NOT- instakill a bomber.

I have been basing my evaluations off of Dab's arguments so far.

How can you have a concern, and post about it when you have not tested it?... That's irresponsible. It would be nice if people who didn't test the damn thing would shut up...

Also like it was pointed out many times before.. BR is an anti-bomber weapon.

Also Datastorm has a nice little warning by IGISS! Don't use it! Use say fl-stat a much better faster tool...

I don't need to test it to have a concern. You should look at the meaning of the word maybe. If it was a complaint, then you might be right with what you have said.

EDIT. I have to admit this thread may have failed me in a way, that we all do sometimes. But I will certainly look for that BR stuff myself not on the test server but the RP one. And if I find anything wrong with it, the lot of you better be prepared to find a good cover as you will have a very hard time surviving my bombardment.
