And one from me, I have this Liner and near Stuttgart, I incidentally hit a Rheinland Police fighter, causing him to enter atmosphere and die. The BC there started shooting me madly then and I had to dock.
In 4.84 - finishing up the run from The Ring to Cambridge with Engine Components - I was chatting with another pilot in group chat. Came out of the trade lane ring and moved my mouse to dock - hit F3 - and kept typing.
Forgot the chat window was open - and ran right into the planet.
As a bounty hunter, I've seen many, many people do that over time while I've been on patrol.

Seperate incident - came out of the trade lane ring in Cortez, hit F3 to dock with the next trade lane, and my ship swung so far to the right that it hit the atmosphere and...
Learned my lesson there - never hit F3 until well AFTER clearing the trade lanes.

Seperate incident - Not too long ago, I had a very brave Lane Hacker pilot in a light fighter with no armor attempt to pirate me - and I'm in a Bretonian CTrans with 12 level 4 Transport turrets. His comment, "How about 2 million?" was immediately followed by his death message - followed by my, "How about no?"
Aside comment - those C-Trans are darned near as powerful as the Luxury Liner. I'm not sure of the hit box on them, but two of them in a convoy can hold off a gunboat.

Fortunately, with a little help from Zappy (I can call you that, right? Wait, its just adding a "y" to the end of your name, nevermind. Why am I typing what I'm thinking? Better stop now), I managed to convert one to a Nomad.
Which reminds me, I still need to post that request in the Special Requests forums.

I had a similar encounter on my BAF in New London...pirate IDed, I think Dragon tagged Redcat, pops out of the lane at Kensington. Initially, I was cautious of letting him pass, but, upon remembering our current political state with regards to Kusari, I was just pulling out of combat and preparing to give him leave to pass, when he slammed into the nearby planet.
Chat was along the lines of
Him: Let me pass.
Me: Hmm...
Death: Pirate has committed suicide.
Me: Urm...no?...

Someone elses dumbest moment: Fighting an OC dessie with my Corsair GB without having their armor upgrade attached. Lets just say after a week of not finding them again, I sold it.
My dumbest moment, undocking from manhattan with a load full of counterfeit software without knowing there were 4 LN/LPI there.....
Another dumb moment, or at least it made me feel dumb. When the mining plugin was put back up, I was destroying npcs with my xeno, and there was a 3 unit peice of silver, I wondered for about 5 minutes why it was there till I asked cannon about the plugin:P
