EARLY 4.84:

Trying to see if I can ram the sun in Gamma with my Osiris and survive.
Well I made it to the sun but I didn't make it back...

i did that with a liberty dread in NY and when you touch the sun it catapults you 880k/s in the opposite direction, like a slingshot.
I was left with 20% hull without using bots so i honestly don't know why your Osiris didn't make it.:mellow:

I have two fail moments for when I was new in 4.84.

I attempted to interdict an Outcast Destroyer in a Hussar. Cruise Disruptering him and Adv. Splittering him...

I attacked Mon'Star in a Hussar.

All in the same day...

Most of these in my post are failures of other people, or just bad luck. But don't worry, I know my screwups when I make them...

Seperate incident - Not too long ago, I had a very brave Lane Hacker pilot in a light fighter with no armor attempt to pirate me - and I'm in a Bretonian CTrans with 12 level 4 Transport turrets. His comment, "How about 2 million?" was immediately followed by his death message - followed by my, "How about no?"

On this note, a Junker attempted to rob ALS)Onyx, a Firefly once flown by a friend of mine, in a Barghest back in 4.84. "Can I persuade you to part with two million credits?" Not much later, my Border Worlds Transport ALS)Cerulean popped out of the lane.

ALS)Cerulean: Can I persuade your ship to explode?

The pirate left without any shots fired.

Indie Xeno Eagle swooped in and began firing at the Cerulean (as always, a BWTrans) without saying a word. Indie Xeno Eagle died by the guns of the Cerulean without saying a word.

My once-Hacker, Blackmoon (now Alicia.Nall), was flying a Stiletto around Liberty, causing minor irritation and not much else. I saw a Pirate Transport, Barghest, and two Lane Hacker Gunships planning on attacking Manhattan. Being relatively new at the time, I decided to join in.

There was one survivor, and she flew a Stiletto. An assortment of mercs, mostly flying bombers, took out everyone else, but they couldn't land enough hits on my agile-as-a-brick Stiletto. Trust me, it wasn't for lack of trying.

And now my moment of failure:

I was in the BPA, before they disarmed most of their officers. I saw a Corsair gunboat in Cambridge, and asked him to leave before it came to violence. He refused... and, well, I was new... I tried to force him out.

Alone.

In a Hussar.

To his credit, though, he didn't shoot until I started attacking him. If he's still here and remembers this incident with BPA)Blake.Sullivan, thanks for giving an idiot the chance to run.

2 Weeks ago i was attacked in my adv.Train by 2 wilds near bonn station in NB, my instincts told me to dock fast but a plan formed in my mind. Maby if i stayed close to BS Strausberg it would shoot them down.

Well it tried, the only prob was that my ship was between Strausberg and the targeted Wilds.

Think i lasted bout 4 desperate seconds trying to understand what was happening, did the wilds have some superweapon? why my hull was so fast going down? Ah BS fire.........oh crap BS fire move move (spinning mouse all over the desk)

Well I bounced off of it and started going the opposite direction and thats when I died.

The corona just didn't like me.

Done, and done. When I "found" Mon'Star, I fled to Planet Cambridge, to find... An Osiris and a pair of fighters... Not a good day _

Also fled into a fight on my first day in the BPA against 3 gbs, to try to save a pair of Repex. A hussar, with no mines, and no armor upgrade. You can imagine how that went. Didn't even manage to save the repex since I disappeared so fast.:D

As a requirement for a group I underwent a clan-paid name change. I didn't want to mess this up in front of the group's director so I decided to check the name change process. However I did this by typing "/renameme /?". This is what ended up happening.....

The day after I got accepted to a faction, I pirated the faction leader and gave him an impossible demand. Oh well, seperate RPs and all that...

For me, it was the time our Gateway convoy decided to help a new escort get set up with a preagle. I was fairly ignorant of some of the larger RP of the main house militaries, other than Bretonia. After getting the ship at FP11, we decided to take a short cut, following the lead of one of our trader captains.

Our tour of Alaska was cut short by a warm message from Yue Fei's general asking us...if we needed directions.

We could have started a ranch with all the cows I had that night.
