Jumping on the old bandwagon too benjamin? oh well, I guess thats to be expected. If I am going to get personally attacked for stating opinions on this forum (especially by an admin) then there seems very little point in attempting to take an active part in such a communtiy. This topic had almost reached its conclusion, with people putting forth their arguments against my ideas, as it should be. Then we get Dieters unnecessary riposte just to aggravate matters and a little quip from his lapdog too. If dieter took my OP as an attack on BAF then he was very much mistaken and I am sorry he took it that way, he must of had his reasons for doing so but not for me to say. Personally I feel the BAF is one of the best factions on the server and I always like the life they bring to the Bretonian systems. I responded to his sarcasm as I saw fit. Nothing personal against Dieter and I am sure he is a very nice bloke and I am aware he does an awful lot for this community and the mod in general, and I applaud him for it.
But Benjamin please pull your tongue out of the back of Dieters pants mate and either add something consructive or shut the hell up.

Well what you gotta know is that many people work very hard for their factions, and sometimes, people say something against it, and they feel the need to defend it. There's nothing bad about that. Had you used CR's big faction numbers as an example, I'd probably have said a few things myself.
But anyways, he says we persuaded him to our side of viewing things, and let's leave it at that.
Let's not give away an impression of opinions not being wanted, eh? Cause I know that is not what you're trying to say, everyone.
And to state again, I agree with what's been said by the various forum members here, and especially the part of joining hostile factions.
I am a member of a few factions, and one of those is hostile to the Colonial Remnant. And I've found that it's made my game time only more enjoyable, cause the people I play with in the hostile faction are people I'm friends with, and people I've respected before joining, and respect even more now.
Seeing how the other side lives is very important, and if everyone knew how the other side lived, there'd be less of the douchebag syndrome we've all seen on the server.
On that note, all of you, go join the CR.:P

People aren't that petty to shun someone who said something they didn't like.
If you want to join some faction, any one at all, it's possible to do it. Some require more, some require less effort.
So go by what you want, and not who'd like to have you or not.
Set a goal for yourself and achieve it, by whatever means you can.

Actually they are. I have been turned down for factions based on posts made by me on this forum.
I have also joined factions that turn out to be relatively innactive, factions where leaders are never present or fail to respond to messages etc. At present I am forced to spend my FL time flying around aimlessly on my own with little purpose. Its only a matter of time before I quit the server altogether so hang in there people, not long now and you'll be rid of me and my ideas :D

Be supportive to new members, people, we were all new once, and once upon a time we knew very little about things on the server and forums, so give the guy a break eh? Goodie.

Hi there, MacAuly, I think your point Is that if you are a member of say LPI or LN or LSF. And also a member of say LH Or LR or XA, and there are pirates in NY, and you are the pirate then you are not fulfilling the role of the LN or the LSF or the LPI by protecting the traders or whichever Legal liberty faction you belong to. Therfore opposing factions should not mix, because you can't do both jobs at once.
If that was what happened than most factions wouldn't exist.

Yeah i do get that. But it often seems to me that there are no police on when the pirates are etc. Which indicates that they all decide to play pirate at the same time etc. At leats with BAF and KNF they usually manage to balance it out so that there is a duel presence. In fact, in retrospect the BAF members nearly always seem to keep a presence and play unlawfuls at the same time, so I aplogise to their members for implying otherwise as it was not an acurate stement. In other areas it does not seem to work like that. It would be better all round if a police faction with members in a pirate faction too at least tried to maintain a presence of both at the same time. If that effort was made I wouldnt of had to suggest not being allowed to join opposing groups.
