Biography
I was born in 773 A.S. on Planet Houston in the Texas system. My father owned a small planet side transport company and my mother was a stay at home mum. She spent most of her time cleaning the house and chatting to her friends. My father owned Odessa Foods. It was a small company, only responsible for shipping food supplies around the planet. I guess he was why I got into the shipping business in the first place.
When I was seven I was staying at a friends place. When it was time for me to leave my father came and picked me up. He told me that he and my mother had been unhappy for years now and they had decided to go their separate ways. I never saw my mother again.
When I turned fifteen I helped him load and unload the transport vehicles in the company warehouse. It was tough work but it got me my first credits. As I grew older I eventually started driving the transport vehicles. And with a job promotion I got a higher pay. That allowed me to book a seat in a passenger ship to Planet Manhattan. It was great to the see the vast expanse of space for the first time. I stayed on Manhattan for a month exploring the planet side. But eventually I had to come back home to Texas.
When I got back from New York I got offered a job by the Liberty Police, Inc (LPI). They had heard about my input into my fathers transport company and wanted me to work for them. The job put me in charge of an EL-HiL27 "Rhino" Class Liberty Freighter and I was delivering a basic alloy made by the prisoners on the LPI Sugarland to the storage depots around Planet Houston. I worked with them for several years.
Eventually I got enough credits and I moved to Manhattan. After a couple of weeks getting used to living on Manhattan I went looking for a job. My experience with both Odessa Foods and LPI landed me a job with Orbital Spa and Cruise. I was taking vacationers from Planet Manhattan and Planet Los Angles to the Orbital Spa and Cruise resort on Planet Curacao. I was with Orbital Spa and Cruise when the nomad war broke out. Eventually I got tired of the loud talking and chatting of the vacationers as we traveled to Planet Curacao. So I handed in my resignation and went back to Planet Manhattan. After a couple of weeks back on Manhattan I saw an ad in the local news net about a Universal Shipping captain who was selling his ship. So I went and contacted him. Turns out he was been upgraded to a CT-39X "Albatross" Civilian Transport and he had no need of his Rhino freighter anymore. He was prepared to part with it for around 7000 credits. A couple hours later I found myself in control of my very first ship.
With the Rhino I started doing odd jobs for corporations here and there. Like shipping food and water supplies to a remote outpost and transferring metals to there storage facilities. I also got to see the rest of the Sirius sector. First place I went was Bretonia and I continued around the sector to Kusari and Rheinland space. It was great to see the other colonies and see the different types and styles of ships.
In 814 A.S I finally arrived back in Liberty to find out that a war had broken out between Bretonia and Kusari. On learning that thousands of refugees were fleeing from the frontlines lines I decided earn some credits. I took refugees from Planet Leeds back to the boron mining operation on Planet Pittsburgh in New York. They paid a great amount of credits for people who are willing to work for pretty much nothing. As the war continued more and more refugees appeared so I keep taking them to Liberty. After a couple of years of this I decided that I wanted to join Deep Space Engineering who the boron mining operation was owned by. They signed me up immediately.
A few months after starting work with DSE I got married to Miranda Keyes. We had known each other for a long time from my trips to Planet Los Angles so we decided to be together permanently. She and her son Jacob eventually moved to Planet Manhattan to live with me. Jacob wants to join the Liberty Navy I hear.
I am now currently based on Planet Pittsburgh helping the mining operation by shipping the mined boron out to the smelters and bring in the machinery that retrieves the boron from the ground. But I still get to fly home to Planet Manhattan to see Miranda regularly.
