' Wrote:I imagine they'd use Corsair bases instead of the Taus. Would that be a huge change?
Problem is CR owns Tau-44, and you can't exactly take that away from them.
' Wrote:They might get a few bases like SCRA somewhere in say omicrons? And let them be based there. They can keep a few ships say Viper and caps. as IMG really does not need caps.
Don't forget the IMG GB and the Albie (or whatever it is now). I was not a fan of the imports, or of any significant capital presence, but one or two Albies and a handful of GBs are quite appropriate, considering the scope of their operations as developed for them in the past couple of mod versions.
' Wrote:Maybe we just need to see CR and IMG as two different groups that have some ties instead of saying CR is IMG.
Of course. This has been IMG's position all along, to my knowledge. CR has always - even by their own backstory - been IMG's guests. They used IMG ID and tag, and with good reason, as guests and affiliates of the Guild. But in CR's own identity development - in backstory, and in server RP - they were never really IMG.
' Wrote:Honestly sounds more sour grapes than anything else. Seems like people just don't want anyone that can help Kusari in the taus. Aside from the idiociy of IMG backing Bretonia while they have a kusari bs outside their main base and the war started with kusari backing IMG over BMM.
Forgive me, Zelot, but I think that's pretty short-sighted. Some folks have already addressed most of the points I would make, but I think it very odd for IMG - aside from superficial lip-service - to be working in Kusari's interests. Bases in Bretonia trump Kusari BS in the Taus, and in 4.84, the Kusari NPC BS's were always bombarding Holman and killing IMG ships anyway. Moreover, as I've always maintained, IMG members are mostly culturally Bretonian with extended family still in Bretonia. The notion that they would naturally support Kusari is absurd.
IMG is continuing the very careful diplomacy we put together when organizing the faction. It's looking out for its welfare, and its careful tactics today evidence that. Is it drawing closer to Bretonia, yes - that's obvious from the treaties and general RP. Backing Bretonia? Not at all obvious, though it's rather strange to expect them to oppose it.
Gentlemen, well spotted on Tau 44 ... And to be honest, at the moment, and after one big furball, this
looks a little like sour grapes.
The =CR= has been around, and with those diplomacies longer than most of you have been here. So a
knee-jerk thread complaining now, is pretty lame timing.

No I doubt it, and due to the fact the =CR= have unsurprisingly declined to get involved at this time, Blunt
has managed to screw the diplomatic pooch, so to speak. Bit too quick off the mark mate.
So I think we'll call this little =CR= bash a day for now, and we'll do it with a little more tact next time.
Thank you.
