Then why is pirating so suckage?
' Wrote:if you take that road then your gonna have to un castrate the tradeships. currently any transport against a bomber is dead meat. wasnt piracy supposed to get HARDER? its to the point where an EAGLE can steadily drain the best transport sheild. im talking like, take it down within one minute. bombers pretty much guarented 1 hit down of the sheild with a SNAC, and if unarmored pretty much 1 hit on hull WRECKS if not completly destroys it.
Are you for real? Even a super heavy fighter has a very tough time with transports. 2 shots wrecks even a very ehav fighter. And you're trying to tell me that 1 FILL MINUTE to drop transport shields is too fast? No. Just no.
Pirates aren't a bloody problem if you're willing to... I dunno... Go along with their demands? Last night I had somebody PM me raging for killing him four times in a row. The fourth time the only demand I made was an apology because he'd decided to swear at me the time before. Is 'Sorry' really that hard to say? Suck it up and talk your way through, most pirates actually enjoy the conversation.
Pirates aren't a problem. PiratING is. Nobody pays! They just hit cruise while you're typing and by the time you CD em they're too far ahead and just slowboat to the next gate before you can boost into range, since cruising to catch up after firing a CD = sanction.

Get a pirate transport, kill em and take their cargo and sell it for 4 milion... Then when they come around ask for 5 milion...

You know, from what we see in movies, I can definitively say, assassin - or in this case, our happy mission executing freelancer/merc/bhg, will make much more money (if he is succesful) than a little employee running his cargo ship from point A to B, or a miner doing his very dull mining duty.
So... why are missions so worthless... they send us alone against entire station and wings of enemy ships only to get a fraction of what is needed to maintain my ship? beuh.
aye... trading got a 10x boost from vanila, while missions only about 2x..
You can take on bounties...

A democracy cannot exist as a permanent form of government. It can only exist until the voters discover that they can vote themselves largesse from the public treasury. From that moment on, the majority always votes for the candidates promising the most benefits from the public treasury with the result that a democracy always collapses over loose fiscal policy, always followed by a dictatorship.
Well the idea is that the mission pilots drop some really good stuffs for sale.
More weapons. More regens. More shields. More thrusters. More awesome cargo. Less scrap metal. more worthy ammo. stuffs.
I don't know about more regens, since that would just make NPC combat even more painful. But destroyed ships should drop other stuff besides scrap, like ship hull panels, engine components, optronics, etc. Obviously LFs might only drop one of these, but kill an NPC freighter? You might get 50 of each, along with the cargo that they had.
