"Well, I'm glad you like it - most people don't, not in this... country, as your sister would say. Got your ship broken, then? Anything I could help with?"
Noam considered the idea. He considered it again. It didn't get more realistic the second time around.
"I can not do that. How did you wreck it - see, you're ruining my system here, normally I could ask if it was trouble with the Mrs, or trouble with the law, but I can't - I do think you're a miss, yourself, and I can't think of a second thing to ask. Besides, it's a part of a song, and altering it just wouldn't work."
He took yet another sip of tea, nodded at the bartender to start on the next one, and probably found the words he was looking for at the bottom of the cup.
He decided that working the song back into his question was even harder than rebuilding that ship, and so he abandoned the idea altogether.
"Mmnh...a Gunboat, and Several heavy fighters...my poor Sabre just couldn't handle it...I'm lucky I even got out alive...if it weren't for that Junker patrol..."
She looked down a little bit, slowly looking back up at Noam.
Sara patted her sister' arm gently,
"Hey, don't worry about that little sister... you are alive, thats the only thing that matters..."
"Just do be more careful next time, okay?..."
A group of six men stumble in from what looks like a crash and lean on the bar. An obviously Irish looking man yells at the barkeep " arrrrrrghh a round fer me gunners!" He looks back at the rest of the people at the bar and snears "what ahr ye looking at?!" He looks back at his men while sipping his rum... "blasted BC... but we live to see a new day maties. Drink" He puts his hand on a wound on his leg, it is the obvious reason for his irritation.
Kurgen looks over at the shaken girl and realises his mistake.
"Sorry me lass fer causing the ruckus, we will move on."
The Gunboat crew filed out after a word from thier captain.
A thought struck him, and Noam was on a quest. Every now and then he felt like he needed to do something - it wasn't always rational, it wasn't always easy, but the system never failed him - if he completed a quest, it always had positive results. Well, eventually.
Today's quest was easy - he was going to make that girl smile again, even if it killed him.
"See? You're doing it again, ruining my conversation plan, and I love it. The trap here was to get you to say if you're a miss, or a missus. I'll have to set an another one like that some time in the future. Instead-"
He got off his chair and performed another of his bows - bending the left arm at the elbow and placing it on his belly while wildly waving the other one around. He picked up another good-hearted, half-crazed smile off the floor, and wore it proudly.
"I'm at your service, my lady, but for the price of another smile. There, there, let's see some sunshine in the room, again."
Dr. Nathan Heart walked in to the bar. A tall, well dressed man in his late twenties, he walks with the manner of a man who is used to the high life.
" argh.. give me your most potent drink bartender". Taking his drink, he sits down in the corner and proceeds to take long swigs from the glass.
"Damn Liberty Officials. They just have to stick their noeses where they aren't supposed to go. I had to leave the trade lanes and cruise here just to evade their patrols!" He says to himself more than anything.
"Ah well. that last shipment of cardimine was worth it." Kicking his feet up and lying back, he shuts his eyes and savours the thought of the several million credits he just made.
Checking his watch after an hour or so he sighs and gets up. "Ah well then, back to Malta I go"
Downing his drink and accepting another one for the road, he gets up and leaves the bar to return to the comfort of his Luxury yacht and recently turned drug running ship the Price of Freedom.
My Character stories: Dr Nathan Heart umm thats all so far...

She looked on, biting back a smile at Noam before her, performing a jester-like bow, but when he looked to her and spoke she couldn't help but smile slightly, nodding to him.
"I...it's nice to meet you, well formally anyways, Senor...oh..ah..I mean! Noam!"
She blushed a bit as she stood up, looking around the bar.
"Well uhm, I should probably get going, to try and find some new parts for my ship, but...for the record, I'm just a 'Miss' "
She sort of smirked as she turned away from Noam and headed for the Bar's exit, bound for the hangar area.
His mission accomplished, Noam placed himself back at his table, muttering through the process.
"Aww. It's no fun like that. Though technically I could just regard unmasking my trap as a trap in it's own right... nah. Not to worry, there's always more things to ask, and more opportunities to ask creatively."
He raised his tea in a valedictory gesture towards Maria, and drank it up as a mock toast of sorts. He seemed lost in thoughts for a moment, then he turned back at where Rommie was - but not at the moment, if his eues were anything to go by. "She's probably at the bar.", he thought, but he didn't feel like looking around. Instead, he fished the book from his bag. "The doctor should be here in a while, might as well stick around.", he thought.
