*The Hellfire Legion logo appears on the screen. A figure is standing before it, his face hidden by shadows. He raises his head slowly, and begins to speak - his voice echoing in the background.*

"Men and women of the Hellfire Legion, I stand before you tonight to bring you a message, and I do so with great sorrow.

I know that several of you have recieved a message recently. An automated message sent from a Search and Rescue buoy originating from the Blue Dove.
We all played it off as an error at first, some malfunction, however..."

*The man, his voice clearly identified him as no other than Lord Commander Aethelu, took a deep breath and stepped forward into the light.*

"However we have been unable to contact Star Colonel Callahan since we recieved the message. Our investigations have shown that she was last seen refueling at Alcatraz, from where she supposedly headed to the New York system - the origin of the SAR-buoy signal.
This, and other results of the investigation, lead us to believe that the signal is completely authentic and was not caused by a malfunction."

*He clenched his fists, and the calm expression on his face turned into one of pure anger.*

"The message tells us that Callahan is dead. Whether or not this is true does not matter now.
What matters is that we all are part of the Hellfire Legion like her. We all stand together, in good times, or in bad ones. And we have never,..."

*Aethelu's face slowly became red, and his voice had grown louder. He was shouting already.*

"...never ever left anyone behind. I will NOT make this the first time. I will NOT sit here and mourn the loss of one of us, and a personal friend of mine at that. I will NOT rest until we retrieve her pod and bring her... or what is left of her back home."

*He paused and collected himself, then began to speak calmly once again.*

"We will launch a Search and Rescue operation in the next days.
Until then you are all to report back to Leniex at once where you will remain in alert status until you recieve further orders. That is all."

*Aethelu began to walk off the screen. Shortly before the transmission ended, he said some final words.*

"We will get her back, no matter the cost. She would have done the same for any of us."

*The Hellfire Legion logo appears on the screen once more. Lord Commander Aethelu is standing before it, his face being lit by the lamps overhead.
He seems to look older than in the last transmission in some way, and quickly begins to speak.*

"Men and women of the Hellfire Legion... my friends.
Some of you may have heard of the recent events already, but I feel the need to make an official announcement so everyone gets to hear of what happened."

*Aethelu cleared his throat before continuing, this time louder and clearer, in a storyteller's voice.*

"Earlier this night a strikegroup operating off the Incursus under my direct command accomplished the Search and Rescue operation I mentioned earlier.

We assembled in the New York system at 2100 SMT under the cover of the Badlands and proceeded towards the last known location of Callahan's escape pod, Sector G 5.
We couldn't have known what awaited us there... but we moved on, only to be greeted by a minefield. - More on that later though.
We managed to contact the Escape Pod, however we only got the automated response of the onboard systems.
Luckily for us the pod was in a good enough shape to transmit us telemetry data which showed us a passage inside the minefield,
however I deemed it too risky to enter with the Incursus myself, so our Fighter pilots, Jim McKinsey, Mark Grant and Joshua Mahnke, led by Executive Commander Atheus now, took over.
They were greeted by a Liberty Navy patrol, led by Vice Admiral David Hale and furthermore consisting of Antonio Backus, Galen Anderson, Ryan MacTavish and Todd Blackburn.
And then..."

*He paused to take a deep breath.*

"...all hell broke loose.
The area was lit with fire, our men against the Navy in that cramped passage. It didn't look like we would go forward until Joshua Mahnke managed to pinpoint the exact location of the pod and tractor it in.
The automated data transmission from it showed that it was in a very bad condition.
We were running out of time, and our men put all their effort into bringing the pod back to the Incursus.
Mahnke's ship got hit heavily, and the automated safety systems in his cargo hold ejected the pod back into open space. Atheus was to tractor it, but luck wasn't on his side.
Some malfunction must have caused the pod to break the tractor beam and Vice Admiral Hale tractored it."

*A faint smile came across Aethelu's face.*

"Luck wasn't on his side either, because now our men were furious.
Their hearts were filled with an undying rage, pumping the fires of hell through their veins, and they focused all their attention on Hale.
His ship got torn apart in a storm of Tachyon Cannon fire and Particle blasts, and the pod was ours again.
Afterwards we got the pod back to the Incursus and the Navy forces vacated the area once our wailing cannons filled up the space with a hailstorm of antimatter.
And there is something else.
Grace Callahan is still alive."

*The smile faded, and what remained was but a sad expression on his face.*

"But not in the way some of you may think.
During the pod's recovery, it transmitted her vital data.
She was automatically put in cryostasis by the Life-Support System due to her severe wounds.
Cranial Trauma, Perforated Lungs, Severe Burns all over her body..."

*He looked up for a couple seconds, as if he hoped for some primordial deity to answer the questions in his mind, then he turned towards the camera again.*

"To be honest, I don't know if she will survive. The doctors had to put her in a coma to treat her wounds because she would die of shock were she to wake up. They say her chances to make it are below ten percent. On one hand I pray she makes it, she's been hurt bad before and came back on every occassion, but on the other... I know that I shouldn't bet on it."

*A single tear began to run down his cheek and with a swift motion of his hand it was gone as fast as it had appeared.
He doesn't have the priviledge to cry, he thought to himself.*

"Another frustrating thing is that we don't know how it came for her to end up like this.
Most of the data we got out of the pod is indecipherable due to the pod's status.
Whatever is intact is currently being restored onboard the Incursus."

*He looked normal again now. Not like the man, Aethelu, but like the Lord Commander, the leader he is.*

We already got some useful information out of it. That minefield and the clear space inside of it are apparently called "Zone-21", a top-secret area guarded by the Liberty Navy and Liberty Security Force.
According to the data, "Zone-21" is the pathway to a Jumpgate.
A Jumpgate that leads to a system going by the name of "Alaska".

We don't have any information in our database about it since we're still restoring the pod data as I mentioned earlier, so you'll get further updates in due time."

*Aethelu began to turn around now and the light slowly faded. In the last moment, he spoke again.*

"One more thing. Due to the recent events, Star Captain Joshua Mahnke is hereby promoted to the rank of Star Colonel of the Special Operations and Armed Reconnaisance Division.
Joshua, I know this places a great burden on your shoulders, but there's nobody as fit as you for the job.
Do not worry about having to replace Callahan, as I know she would never have asked you to do so. Instead she would have just told you to do your duty as good as you can. So, that is my order for you.
I only regret that I couldn't have done this in brighter times when she would have been here to see it.
That is all."

This is a follow on from the Lord Commander's video feed.

After yesterday, and the recovery of Star Captain Callahan, those who came with us are deserving of a reward. Mahnke, your promotion, however sad, is your... 'reward'. But Mark Grant, and Jim McKinsey, with your actions yesterday, downing Commander MacTavish, for Jim, and Vice Admiral Hale, for Mark, I am pleased to promote you both to Lieutenants.

Remember Legion, dark times are ahead of us, but we must remain strong, and together. We are as good as family too each other, remember that.

Greetings warriors,

To begin with I would like to express the emotions concerning that I became one of pilots of Hellfire Legion. For me it very much a great honour to fly under your flag and to destroy offenders. I hope that all of us will destroy them.

And now to the event which has occurred in New York system. I for a short while visited bar Buffalo base slightly to get drunk etc. The Truth time later I have received the message from Lord Commander Aethelu in which it was told about preparation for spot-check on Manhattan's orbit. I have taken seat in the ship and when has taken off from base have been amazed. The huge structure of Liberty Rogue has been collected from bombers and fighters which, I dare to notice, during events have shown considerable fire power. Now I will load structure.

So, we have taken off from Buffalo base to Manhattan's orbit. Lasting Damage has ordered to attack the first purpose: LNS-Thunderbolt which, unfortunately, was joined to a planet on a half step from the death... The fleet Liberty with which we have easily enough understood Further has arrived. According to plan Lasting Damage, we should leave a battle-field after destruction Thunderbolt, but it was not possible escape and it was necessary to remain in fight and to bring some more apertures in them hull, well and also nervous system.

I think, this raid has shown lawfulls as it is necessary to battle. Ah yes, nearly has not forgotten. I will load a little photos form event.

Today I aquired my first kill... they say the first is the hardest-But I found this relatively easy.
I was patroling through the badlands near West Point when a Navy ship demaned I cut my engines and prepare to be arrested. I Laughed at him and destroyed his ship in seconds...
I am now returning to Mactan to refuel and repair.

Seems I've been absent from the battlefields for far too long. Yesterday, we hit both Liberty and Rheinland Forces hard in the Texas System.

[i]Well warriors, I have a very good report to make this fine day.

Yesterday evening, we formed up a small strikegroup, under the leadership of Executive Commander Aethelu.

We were called to assist the "Libertine", a Spyglass-class Battleship that was returning to Vespucci from an extended tour through New York. It was under attack by a large group of Liberty Navy ships, including the LNS-Liberty and the [LN]-LNS-Arizona. We rallied at the "Libertine"'s location, near the Texas Jumpgate, in New York, and proceeded to engage the embattled Liberty Navy ships.

We managed to destroy the LNS-Liberty, but the "Libertine" was forced to eject all of her escape pods and enable a meltdown of her reactor, in order to keep the [LN]-LNS-Arizona from capturing any of her secret technology.

Next, we took down the [NGS]-LNS-Calgary, with an excellent shot by Executive Commander Aethelu.


Next up, came an amazing hit with a Supernova Antimatter Cannon to the hull of Napalm, an LSF Upholder bomber, by our very own Haley Grey.


Then came my turn for a spell, after spotting a fighter sticking near the outskirts of the fight, i managed to let off a fusilade of fire and destroyed the vessel of Todd Blackburn, and let his Navy escape pod jump out.


Once again, our Haley Grey decided to shoot at just the right moment, and racked up another kill by shooting down LSF Agent Johnny Leroy's Upholder Bomber.


But then came our first lost. Unfortunatly, Saret was shot down by the traitorous LSF Agent, Julia Wolfe, in her Upholder.


Mark Grant avenged our dear Saret by shooting down Navyman Joe Young's Upholder, and by landing the killing blow on a Freelance gunboat that the Navy/LSF had hired on the spot.


Making for her third kill in this fight, Haley knocked out the impossible to pronounce Kentaurus Tolliman's Guardian VHF, obviously showing her skill in the art of the SNAC.


Another loss on our side, was the Hacker named Jarek_70. He was taken out by an individual whom we do not know the allegiance of at this time, but had a ship codename of Stryker.


Next came the fall of LSF Director Krusa Corraine.


Then came another beautiful shot by Mark Grant, hitting Antonia Backus' Guardian right in the engines, blowing his ship to pieces.


A rather unlucky capitalship, the LNS-Montreal was caught under the overwhelming power of our combined weapons, and fell quickly to a shot by Absolut.


Absolut continued his onslaught, and took down the cowardly LSF Agent Christian Deus, who usually makes a point of continuously running when faced with a superior opponent. He paid for his miscalculation and stupidity.


Then came the end of LSF Agent Jacob Hagel, whom was shot down under the quick thinking and quick shooting Geraldo.Gallego.


Last but not least, was the fighter of the Liberty Army, Desert Storm. I ordered our forces to cease fire on the beleagured armyman, and Aethelu and I gave him an ultimatum: He could have an honorable duel with either myself or Aethelu, or we could all finish him off, without giving him a chance. He chose to fight Aethelu, which either shows guts or sheer stupidity. He was quickly silenced, not even moving his vessel once the duel had begun.

I would like to thank everyone who participated in this lengthy and very successful raid. I will also be speaking with the Lord Commander about certain promotions and awards for this raid. I am immensely proud of all of you.
