Ok it has come to my attention whilst flying a Corsair bomber it is ridicoulously slower than other bombers,

Now a questions up for discussion are:
Can the Corsairs use Civilian Bombers?
Or could they get a prototype bomber that is weaker than the current but has improved agility?

Right now everyone knows when they see a Corsair bomber its an Easy target for a SuperNova Because of its size and its slower turning rate, So following the questions above.
Would the Corsairs be allowed to use the Civi Technology or could they get a new prototype bomber?

It is a bit slow, but that can be easily fixed by some simple EKing.

The praetorian is easily a match for a VHF, i have taken down sabres and templars in mine many times.

You do have to be a very good aim with a SNAC though.

I have flown my praetorian for over a year monte, dont tell me how to fly it.

Im just saying against a more agile bomber the Praetorian does not cut it, because when being CD spammed the agile bomber will sit behind you and pummel you.

It says that Sirius wide Civilian tech is allowed for use by the Corsairs, So i believe I may buy myself the Roc.

What are you comparing it to?

The Praetorian might be a little slower than before, but all bombers are easy targets for a SNAC fired by people who can aim and remember to hit the thrust button. Plus it has lots of regens...it's a pain trying to shoot it down.

To me the answer to this question lies in the heart of what disco is:


If Role Play is your primary concern - then there would be no question, use the Corsair bomber.

If your motivation is more tempered by pvp related concerns.... well..... use something else.

It's my personal opinion that Corsairs should use corsair gear - but just me.

With Laowai i agree, after all, in a fight the outcome is 80% due to the pilot, 15% to the ship, and 5% to the equipment.

So the net result is that the Corsairs must get a better bomber than the enemy you encounter? That's an odd approach to ship balance or design.

Get a Titan. They're hard to hit. Use that to counter raids.

I actually find the Praetorian pretty damned hard to SN. Well, at least from the front. It also has a large powerplant, and alotta regens. Don't you think that compensates enough?

I wouldn't really care about the handling, for something that can tear shields up within seconds with Coladas, and then render the enemy hull useless with a Supernova.

Edit: That one is slow? Ha! Try The Barghest. It's like a mini gunboat.
