Preatorian is a one man army if you know how to fly it...
It has large powerplant.
It is almost impossible to hit from front and side. Since it looks like a + and it is short, most projectiles go eiter thru the 4 parts from front or when you shoot at it from side projectiles go behind it, but don't hit it.
It has large armor.
It can have 4 of the best shieldbusting weapons ingame(except Inferno).
If you need to complain about it you obviously don't know how to fly it.
My personal feeling is that you (as in anyone) should fly the faction ship line. There are better and worse ships out there, which ever you choose. I am a horrible pilot in some ships, and much better in others. It may just be that the Praet desn't suit your flying style. Believe me, I've run into many Praetorian pilots that annihilate me every time, whatever I'm flying. It is a good ship, but if you find yourself getting killed all the time in certain situations, then you probably should not fly that ship in those situations. If you're not willing to swap it for a Titan or Gladiator, then you probably shouldn't be a Corsair.

This i agree with, if you find it is too slow for you, develop your own tactics, and make sure that if you have an idea to test it in training. Training is the key to improving in whatever ship you fly, i once embarked on a 5 hour training spree with Nestor and Stone.Eagle, after that, i found that i could do things in combat that i would have been astounded to see done before.
You have to adapt to the ship, not adapt the ship to you.
