I thought the point of Discovery was took keep it as close to a Vanilla storyline?

Might as well be invaded by aliens.

Even worse let's have it invaded by aliens which take over human beings and wear them as people suits.

Or one of those absurd storylines where the entire race can be blown up by flipping a switch somewhere.

My initial impression regarding this is that it's all over the place. You got tid bits of story being thrown in just to cover various factions, rather than having more justified reasons. Also, I think that a government such as Gallia would be ALOT more open about it's intentions to just cluster-rape everyone, especially if its racially charged.

My big question is, that will probably be answered in the continuation, what happens to the Zoners? Also, Since the message is declared across Sirius, what will Liberty's/rest of Sirius factions responses be?

Rule Bretonia. They're going to be reduced to Cambridge, New London, and (with luck) Sprague. Dublin's going to fall with Gallia pouring through Edinburgh and Leeds jumpholes. Mollies will have to fall back to Lisburn, and possibly Sprague becomes a BAF/Molly planet?

That's certainly news to me.

As I am not privy to certain parts of the storyline (namely all of it) until such time as it is dropped unceremoniously into my lawn not unlike a canine's excrement, you can call said reasoning conjecture at best.
