It needs to be something more disruptable though, so pirating isnt hampered quite so much.

Maybe the French Junkers stole the technology from the crown and then sold it to Ageira. Ageira is lying to us all about how they obtained or created the technology.

Y'got it wrong, Junkers stole it from the Xenos then sold it to Agiera, that's why the Xenos are so pissed at 'em...

By the way, are the Gallic Tradelanes in Dauphine faster or does it only feel like it because they are sitting closer?

In a brilliant tactical movement, i charged backwards.

I want to know how hard is it to replace the models with something different. I don't think it would be wild to think that Gallic spies would have at least seen jump gates and TLs. They could take those discoveries back to Gallia where a huge project (like Apollo or the Manhattan Project) could be started by the government.

How hard is it for Junkers to get to Gate/Lane technology? Don't forget they are swimming in Sirius technology as their main occupation and Gate/Lane technology specifically should be found in Texas and Kepler.
Yes, it may be singed a bit, some destroyed bits here and there, but nothing a concentrated effort of decades / hundreds of years couldn't overcome.
