i am a little confused about what ships are faction only, and what ships are avillible to aliies of factions.

gonna list some of the ships, and gear now.

1: inferno.
from what people tell me, this is an OC only weapon. but other people use it....

2: barghest.
this is a molly/rogue ship, yet i see hackers and OC using it, when they have their own bombers. is this against the rules?

3:hessian cruiser.
OC gaurd with these, in alpha.




anyone mind giving me the ansewers on this?

If it's not in the diplomatic matters, then the ship is counted as rouge. Meaning Rogues and mollies will hunt the guy down and use his limbs as hood ornaments.

The inferno is open for all of the Outcasts' allies to use, I believe.

I'm under the impression that any ship that states it is for use only by the named faction in the info card, then it is off limits to allies of said factions' ship except without proper forum RP. Barghest is one of those ships. I'm sure there is an official post about this somewhere, only I can't remember where. I'll post it here if I find it.

I'm not too sure on this one, it could possibly be in the same boat as the Barghest, but I haven't ever looked at a Hessian Cruiser.

yes and in 84 the inferno(capitol turrets)were open to evry capitol for balance issues but with pulse turrets we dont have that problem

it should be clear and simple rule; we should use only tech of our faction or at least some gear from our closest friend but only if we don't have an equivalent. everyone who uses general ID should be affiliated, and should use appropriate tech.

only simple rules are good and have a chance to be kept. if there are "but/or/if", it appears 'grey zone' always.

most of people on server don't know about diplomatic matters, and diplomatic restrictions. and even they come here sometimes, this forum is huge, and it is impossible to read/know everything.

Well, that rule is kinda outdated, because nomad weapons cannot be looted anymore, and only The Order or Keepers/Nomads have access to, and can use them. So, my order character uses 4 nomad cannons, because they're not in the same rule category anymore.

All three require some forum RP as to how the item was obtained. For number one I can see OC allies using the inferno.

Either way, now that they can be bought on a station, the rule is obsolete. At least in my opinion it is.
