Now, where were we? O yea..

Omega 49.

What's up with that?

Here he have sombunall corsairs (small "C"), and other assorted pirates attempting to shake down and/or shoot up IMG miners..

Interesting, as last I heard, the miners and 'sairs were fairly cordial to each other..

And we have nervous Zoners who would just as soon be home watching the Holo (..I missed 'Serenity', btw..)
but are out patrolling, wondering who did what to whom at what distance, and if they have to power to do anything about it..

Someone, Agmen..?, offerred that the Guild would be available to help "clean up" the current unpleasantries in 49.

So four parties involved then, rather than three. "What say you, Mister Barnum?" "Why, I'm not sure, Mr. Ringling! Let's ask Mr. Bailey!"

And we're all wondering how to get out of this fine mess we've gotten us into, Ollie.

And, Zoners are wondering just how far we're allowed to go.. how far you want us to go..

There are indeed roleplay issues which need to be hammered out, as Hoodlum pointed out v.1.0.

But I submit that there are also the vanilla/"canon"/hard-wired elements regarding Omega 49 which may need to be changed to reflect the effects of current roleplay, diplomacies, etc. Are the Zoners still really in need of those corsair "employees"..? Do all the Hunters who inhabit 49 live on the Hood or something..?

By all means, let's grab the opportunity to do the juicy roleplay! The chest-puffing and posturing. The casting of blame and the statements of principle and purpose. I'll be there with my clown nose on!

But meanwhile, what do we really want from Omega 49? What makes sense there now? What doesn't?

Let's get down with what's up with that, hmm?

IMG enjoy a ... 'We don't annoy you, you don't kill us' relationship with the 'Sairs. Seems that's been changed recently ... Why are they so bothered about us mining in 49 anyway? <_<

And this really doesn't make sense:
Corsairs are practically allies with CR, but they'll pirate the crap out of IMG. What gives?

IMG and CR, as of now, have friendly diplomacy. Corsairs are screwing with it a bit.

A way a lone a last a loved a long the riverrun, past Eve and Adam's, from swerve of shore to bend of bay,
brings us by a commodius vicus of recirculation back to Howth Castle and Environs.

Once other mining fields are fixed and O-49 isn't the only profitable one around, things will be normal again. Probably.

EDIT: It doesn't matter to lolpirates WHO is mining, they just flock to wherever there's a big group of people because it requires minimal effort to pirate them. C'mon now, effort is for nubs

CR and IMG diplomacy are entirely different animals. And the enemy of your friend isn't automatically your enemy, just like the friend of your friend is not automatically your friend.

This whole diplomacy thing needs a major overhaul. In general, not just CR/IMG/Corsairs.

Drake, being one of the few folks to recognise that, I officially want your babies.

In my opinion, I think IMG would be more likely to side with Outcasts, as they're friendly to Mollies and Hessians, as well as neutral to Lane Hackers and Rogues.

You're joking, right?

They'd side with neither, what with both attacking their interests. The Outcasts attack Java and Falklands bases, the Corsairs hassle IMG miners in Bretonia and the Omegas.

As for 49, I don't really understand it in general. I mostly avoid it because it's really bright and hurts my eyes. I wish I was joking here.

Just for the record, gents, could you please identify which "perspective" you are approaching this from?

I don't need ship names or history, make it simple.

Ex.: "i be da Zon3r".
