Light Fighters

Hi, I've been lurking around the server for a couple months now and I have been searching all over for a capable light figher. Can anyone tell me if there is a light fighter that can equip class ten weapons? Or perhaps, a light fighter that can equip the class 10 shield I saw on Planet Malta.

I have read the readme and have found most of the light figters on the list but to no avail. Is my quest for a respectable light fighter just a wild goose chase?

Edit: Forgot to mention I am currently flying a Slipstream, in case anyone was wondering.

From what I have found, the ship you fly is top of the line for a light fighter. I even read talk that the slipstream is a bit over powered. As for me I'm just a courier of goods. I have not earned enough to buy myself a sporty joyride like that.

Answer: No and no.

You want codeds ot Nomads, your gonna have to fly a VHF. A ship with L.10 guns and shield, with the tiny package and maneuverability of a LF, would be way too powerful I think.

(OTOH some L.9 guns rival the Nomads for damage now that they're nerfed a bit)

I understand the inabilty to equip class ten guns, but could someone please explain to me why there is a class ten shield in the game if no ship can equip it?

its been there since vanilla, as well as the class 10 fr shields, nothing much else left to say on that.

Yes, the class 10 LF shields are from Vanilla, and we never got rid of them. LFs used to use class ten guns and shield, then were nerfed to a balanced state when everyone and their mother had the Slippy. Now we ave the same problem with the bomber.. -.-

The slipstream still has too much firepower. Not as many people complain about it because its not a cap ship killer, but it HAS made the house LFs pretty obsolete.

Guys, have you forgot about the Nomad fighter? It has 2 class 10 slots and a class 10 shield. Very nice.
