There is one item I would like to add to RedBear's report: our force also engaged and damaged the Ferdimond.
It's nice to have a solid win, although I still look forward to getting our fighters outfitted with some better anti-capship weapons. Maybe now that we have my friend Paul moving large shipments for us, we can afford some Nova cannons of our own instead of relying on the guns of volunteers who step in to help the SA. We wouldn't have been able to take down those ships nearly as easily without their help, and although it is appreciated, we need to have a force that is self-sufficient in its ability to defend Liberty.
It also seems that cruise disruptors, even large ones, are all but useless for stopping their ships from entering cruise.
Early intelligence reports indicate that the pirates aren't too keen on trying another full frontal assault against our forces. I expect they will wait until they have the advantage in numbers before they attack next time.
The California Battle Group, aided by the LNS RedBear and the LNS Alabama, were able to repulse several HF and Helghast incursions with the assistance of the 8492nd and the BSG.
TACCOM congragulates you on your victory. You have have made Liberty proud.

After some careful deliberation...I am happy to announce that Tannik Seldon will become Lance Commander of the California Lance. You will now also be responsible for recruitment of new members.
His original position will be filled by Captain Redbear(OsoRojo) and Valkyrie. RedBear will retain command of his frigate, while Valkyrie will command a fighter wing.

My apologies for the late report. Cpt. Redbear pretty much summed it up. Our enemy was fierce and fought with honor and tenacity. However we carried the day despite the severe Ion Storm. Thanks to our allies the BSG and the 8492nd and thanks to the men of the Liberty Navy. Congratulations to Cmd. Seldon and Cpt. Redbear on thier promotions, they were well deserved. I'd like to take this opprotunity to formally introduce myself. (Sorry that I haven't done so yet) I am Cpt. Derek Stark (CS: Valkyrie) newly assigned to the unit. I hope to live up to the standards of this great outfit. As far as tactics are concerned their ships are bigger, but today we had more numbers (and better pilots). Request an authorized weapons loadout for an Avenger fighter and a Liberty Gunboat. (OCC: Just need to rename and refit my Gunboat if thats acceptable.) Thanks

Diablo, good one. Budget cuts however, are a sad fact of house militaries. That's why I'm a rich Hacker!:P
