I think that we need to leave the places with Trade lanes with out them. Its takes it easy for pirates to attack traders. Filling them up with lanes would not make logical sense in my opinion.

Really, we need more areas with only a marker bouy to lead the way.(sigma 17) This promotes pirating and Rp trade.

I think that would be nice, but think how long it would take to get places with current cruise speed! If we increased the speed, then asteroid fields would be even more annoying. Maybe if we made the fields a little more sparse. But then we would run into problems about people complaining about nowhere to hide... It never really ends. Anyway my 2 cents.

I am a long-absent Supreme Commander, Executive Commander, Grand Admiral, Fleet Admiral, and Captain in the mighty Hellfire Legion. I have returned, and am on an urgent mission from Drake Thastus to return the Legion to its former glory, and to claim the galaxy for its own. Only then will I be able to rest.

Did either of you actually read my post, let alone comprehend it?

I am talking about a very few game features here that have been around, unchanged, since the game came off the shelf Frozen in time. I am not talking about rearranging your entire safe little world here, qunitlingus. I am talking about what would naturally occur. Stuff doesn't sit around unbuilt for six years.. not a girder added .. not one guy poured into the concrete by accident. As to freakin' asteroids, BFD, did i once mention a bloody asteroid in my post?

Yes, this game is what U-soft and D-Anvil made it.
Yes, this is what Igiss' mind made it.
But dammit, it's also what we make it. every day.

Your right mal, it would be about time that the unfinished trade lanes got done, though since the BAF mined the one leading upto harris we could leave that one half done, say the mines damaged/destroyed a few.

@quint: mal didn't even suggest adding any new tradelanes, he asked why the half-build ones aren't finished.

The ones in hokkiado would mean that you can fly through the korfu and not end up with half your hull eaten away and glowing in the dark.

So perhaps just finish the tradelane rings that are in the clouds, then people still have to risk getting rad damage.

Not sure if this is the right place but the topic did say bugs. I am also not sure if this is a Freelancer issue or a Discovery one.

I'm playing the game again after being reminding how much fun it was from the mod award. First time playing this mod. Im on a local server. (Enjoying the mod so far btw. Feels and looks great.)

Issue:
Twice now when leaving Detroit munitions I have ended up trapped inside one of the cylindrical storage containers.

Thats the bug. Not sure if im just lucky or there is something that could be fixed. Also, if whoever responds to this could indulge me. what is the purpose/benefit of the credit cards?

Detroit munitions is old and unfixable, sorry for your loss.

Credit cards are to transfer money between chars in multiplayer, but it's a risky buisness, your far better off to have someone else help you, as NPC's like credit cards.

A lot of us have been in the same place. Yes, it's a glitch. It's been around forever, and there's something about the code that may keep the Club active for a long time.

It will take you patience and a bit of F1ing to get out. I've heard there's a mystical magickal thrusting technique that can be used during the F1ing, but I have a bad lower back. Perhaps someone else can step up now and demonstrate.

And welcome to Disco.

No Mal, I understand your plight, Nothing did happen that should have. I agree, that they should be moved or changed, but for example in tau 31, all those empty places where you have to fly, instead of taking the trade lane, make it Idea for Pirating the traders as they have little protection from the lanes. It encourages RP fighting, even though there is little of that happening, unfortunatly.

So, don't know if this is normal or not, but I got stuck at a jump fate because of npcs. I had to wait my turn (which is fine) but the guys in front of me where not moving, AT ALL. Well after three minutes of watching the train and two hawks (they where Dauman if you where interested) bounce into each other and move a grand total of 0 meters I opened up on them! Now THAT made them move, not that my train did much in the way of damage.

Anywho, this has happened to me before and it is rather annoying. I have no problem waiting for the random npc group to go through the gate, and now and then one of the escourts flies right into the gate requiring it to navigate back around into the gate. But to have to wait for a group that DOESN'T go through? I don't know.

If this is a known issue ignore the ranting of the crazy guy...:crazy:
