My sig is now my first GIF ever made. It may not be the best, mut it's mine, and I'm proud of finally having made it. Took 5 hours, it did, mostly thanks to rendering the F-15 and a Firefly I scrapped. The Firefly there now is just the one from the wiki because I got too tired to do a full one after 5 failed attempts. Hope you like it:

P.S. If any of those names have been taken, tell me straight away so I can change it.

I wish to ask something of ya'll and also show you something.

First, I have created a new sig in PS but cannot for the life of me figure out how to export it to gif, it is animated but when I 'Save As" a .gif it just puts the picture there, not the whole animation.

The other thing I did just for fun, I took a SS of one of my XA buddies in NY then edited all signes of life out to see what it looked like pre-exodus:

What you need to do, Jazz, is Save the file for Web & Devices thingy. A large panel will appear, with lots of options. Just make sure you select the .gif format, and off you go. For size constraints, you should try to obtain the best quality image for least space required.

That's very nice, Sleipnir. I believe making your own 3DS Max ship renders would give you a quality boost, because right now the ship is kinda low res.

Nice work overall though, I like it a lot. Good shading and all.

Err, only partially, really. The original ship had way larger wings (as did the shadow, it reached the wall on the sides) and a sort of antenna on the wing. I adjusted the shadow but quit in the middle of it.

So, the shadow is actually new, but what you probably mean is that it's messed up under the right wing, right? The wing shadow should be slimmer there and the angle is not quite alright.

As said, there are still many issues left with the pic, but I just wanted to try out if the concept (edit ship into setting with) works.
